This RARE 1980’s photo captures a member of the Arabian Knights representing in the streets of Southside Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY. Founded in the late 1970’s, this crew came from the era when dance crews & sweater clubs evolved into real street gangs .
Back then, the Southside was NO JOKE—with crews like the Dukes, Dirty Ones, and more shaping NYC street culture.

A rare late 1960s photo out of Manhattan, New York showing a member of the Comencheros Motorcycle Club rocking his colors — but here’s the mystery… there’s NO “M.C.” patch.
So what does that mean? 🤔
Were the Comencheros originally a street gang that evolved into a motorcycle club, or did they operate both worlds at the same time?
NYC has always had a deep, untold history of street gangs and motorcycle clubs, and this piece from the archives raises real questions.
I’ve previously dropped rare footage of this Manhattan crew on my Patreon — but now I’m putting this out to the streets:
👉 If you remember the Comencheros from late 1960s Manhattan, speak up in the comments.
Let’s document this history together before it disappears.

A rare, powerful glimpse into Bronx history—this late 1970s–early 1980s photo captures members of the legendary Savage Nomads, one of NYC’s most iconic street organizations still active into 2026.
Founded in the late 1960s in the Bronx by “Black Benjy” Buxton, the original Supreme President, the Savage Nomads built a lasting legacy rooted in loyalty, identity, and survival. Contrary to myths, the Nomads were NOT founded by “Yellow Benji” of the Ghetto Brothers.
Documented in classic films like Children of Violence, Flyin’ Cut Sleeves, and 80 Blocks From Tiffany’s, their story is a cornerstone of NYC street history. Allied with the Savage Skulls, they formed the powerful “Savage Family.”
This is real history—raw, unfiltered, and preserved.

This is REAL history—no reenactments, no Hollywood. 📸
A rare late 1970s–early 1980s photo of the Hartford, Connecticut division of the Ghetto Brothers, originally founded in the Bronx, NYC in the late 60s.
Standing in front of the gang’s graffiti is Benny Gonzalez, President of the Connecticut Ghetto Brothers—RIP 🙏🏻🕯️🙏🏻. A respected figure in Hartford, Benny came from the Bronx in the mid-70s and made his mark not just in the streets, but in the community. He later worked with the Board of Education, showing growth, leadership, and impact beyond the gang life.
NYC had legends like Karate Charlie & Yellow Benji…
Hartford had Benny Gonzalez.
His name deserves the same respect. 💯
Ghetto Brothers history didn’t stop in NYC—it expanded to Hartford, Connecticut.

This digitally recreated vest brings back the untold story of the Latin Gents from Corona, Queens, NYC—a 1970s street gang rarely talked about but deeply rooted in Corona Queens history.
According to a Queens old-timer, their center patch featured a man in a tuxedo dancing with a woman—symbolizing style, pride, and presence. But behind that image was a real street era…
One member, known as “Lil Dutch,” was reportedly disliked by some—and his death made NYC newspapers in the 1970s. His story is a reminder of how real and intense these times were.
Queens wasn’t soft. Alongside groups like the Seven Crowns (who came out of the Bronx), Corona had its own movement.
More history can be found in the Facebook group: Corona, New York, Faces & Places Images (CoronaWorld) led by historian Ellee Ellington.
📢 Never sleep on Queens history… they were DOWN BY LAW too.

This rare 1973 photo captures a member of the legendary Seven Immortals from the 14th Division in Coney Island, Brooklyn, NYC—a powerful set that originated in The Bronx in 1971 and spread across all five boroughs.
Led by “Black Blue” (RIP), this Coney Island division made its mark during a pivotal era in New York street culture. Look closely at the vest… the lettering style you see here would later influence B-Boy crews, graffiti artists, and street fashion across the late 70s and early 80s.
