Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Он отрет с их глаз каждую слезу. Больше не будет ни смерти, ни скорби, ни вопля, ни боли, потому что прежнее прошло.

Humans were never created to eat to survive and to spend their lives toiling for food.
"In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread Till you return to the ground, For out of it you were taken; For dust you are, And to dust you shall return.”Genesis 3:19
This was a verdict given to Adam. This is not the life that God envisioned for him, but one that Adam found himself because of disobedience.
Good news is we are not in Adam, we are in Jesus! Those who are in Christ are a new creation.
"And so it is written, 'The first man Adam became a living being.' The last Adam became a life-giving spirit." 1 Corinthians 15:45
“That which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” John 3:6
"But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." John 1:12-13
Therefore, we need to continually renew our mind to give up the idea that our energy and life come from eating food. In Jesus, we are life-giving spirits, born of God. Our source of life is Him. We do not consume, we create (this applies to everything, not just eating).
The practice of fasting is given to us to break away from feeding the appetite of the flesh. In Matthew 6:16-18, Jesus not only expects us to fast, but also gives us instructions on how to fast. Many think that fasting is a burden or a way to get God's attention. God’s attention is already fully on you, his thoughts about you outnumber the sand (Psalm 139:17-18).
By fasting, we are entering a wedding feast. A time of joy and celebration!
"Then the disciples of John came to Him, saying, 'Why do we and the Pharisees fast often, but Your disciples do not fast?'
And Jesus said to them, “Can the friends of the bridegroom mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast." Matthew 9:14-15
The flesh will wrestle with this, but the spirit will be strengthened. Live by the spirit that you will not fulfill the desires of the flesh 🙂
Shabbat Shalom
