Destiny has been through so many things, and much of her story is rooted in real experiences I’ve had, nightmares I’ve experienced, and fears I’ve carried.
She is the embodiment of resilience and perseverance. She represents the change and healing that can come after pain, which is why I find myself gravitating toward her the way I do. Because if she can find herself when she feels lost, then maybe I can too. If she can forgive, then maybe I can too.
But none of that came easily. It came through mistakes, trial and error, and learning.
My fear of change has stopped me from so, so much. So I made Destiny become the very thing I was afraid of. Her story cannot exist without change, because she is the change. She is proof that growing doesn't mean losing who you were. Sometimes it means becoming who you were always capable of being.
That is why the symbol that resembles her most is a butterfly with the body of a sword. A butterfly represents transformation, while a sword represents strength. She is both.
And don't let that fool you, Destiny makes plenty of mistakes. She gets things wrong. She falls. She doubts herself. But has that ever stopped her from growing her wings and becoming something greater?

No.

Because she is Destiny.
Her story isn't black or white. It's the blend between them, the balance. Fire and ice. Light and dark. Gentle and rough. Weak and strong.
She holds a power beyond even what she knows.
She became a beacon of hope to beings far greater than herself, and eventually, she faces something stronger than she is. But even then, she never gives up.
She falls.
She gets back up.
Again.
And again.
And again.
She won't yield.
And maybe that's why I created her in the first place.
Because every time I watch Destiny stand back up, I'm reminded that I can too.

Hello my lovely Stars! I've been EnchantedTalesByMe for 1000 days! And there has been many twists and turns. I often think, "would I do this all again if I went back?" And the answer I've determined is, yes. Yes, because I feel seen. Yes, because I've made friends. Yes, because I have helped people. Yes, because I've achieved so many things. Yes, because I've unlocked so much about myself. I say yes even though I lost someone who I looked up to. Everything led up to this point, the stress, the anxiety, the joy, the sorrow, the excitement, and anger. If I could go back and meet who I was 1000 days ago, I'd tell her, "You're doing just fine."
1000 days = 24,000 hours = 1,440,000 minutes = 86,400,000 seconds. And it all counts.
Never give up.
Remember your worth.
Don't let people drag you down.
And remember, tales are meant to be told.💗🫂❤️‍🩹
