I've decided. student artwork videos are coming back. Once I am back at work Monday I will be working with an elite group of students to obtain permission to either trash, show off, praise or send their artwork out to viewers. As I mentioned in a previous video, I was asked that if I do this type of content in the future to: 1. Not wear my lanyard, 2. Make sure kids have given permission / signed off on having their artwork used in a video, 3. No foul language, I think I can do all that! I was told the main reason those had to be removed was because a complaint was received, and the complaint did not seem to understand the context of the vid and assumed a lot. Please DM me on socials if you do have any concerns, things will be done in a very safe manner in future videos. I love my job!

I’m getting a sinus surgery tomorrow so I will plan to be off this app posting wise for a bit. It’s been a weird few weeks. Will see if I still feel like making videos when I’m healed up in a week. Have a cool vid I found in my google drive from 2021 ima edit up and post in the next day or two. I chatted just today with the student who shows their artwork in the video and they are cool with me posting it - they are 21 now! My previous boss encouraged us to film how our Covid distance learning lessons were going and in the vid the student is presenting a comic book they worked on and finished in my class! I still have the comic they made and gave me! All names and faces will be blurred

I taught my students Adobe illustrator this week - we use it a lot in graphic design 1 & 2. My students are doing really well with it and one of my students said I could share their progress. I have the kids start out with tracing work they find until they “master” the pen tool - this is 2 class periods of work tracing and learning the tool and I’d say he mastered the pen tool! #pentool #adobeillustrators #studentwork

Hi everyone…thanks so much for all the positive comments and understanding of what those videos were about - day in the life of the job. But I was told I had to take them down - more videos from me soon but not throwing out student artwork !
