What a powerful Sunday at church! 🙌

Pastor Lawson Perdue continued his No Greater Joy series with a message on what it truly means to continue in the Word of God. When the Word becomes your foundation, your framework for life, and the creative force shaping your future, it doesn’t just inform you — it transforms you.

We were reminded that continuing in the Word leads to real freedom, lasting fruit, and blessing that overflows into every area of life. Pastor Lawson also shared about the four enemies that try to steal the Word from our hearts and how we can overcome them through faith, grace, and revelation.

It was also an exciting morning for our youth! During second service, they were thrilled to hear from Infamous Swoosh, a YouTube animator with 1.5 million subscribers, who shared his story, answered questions, signed autographs, and talked about the importance of a strong relationship with the Lord in finding direction and fulfillment in life.

Sunday morning was powerful!
Pastor Aaron Perdue brought a life-giving message titled “He Restores Your Soul.”

What if the breakthrough you’ve been praying for isn’t spiritual… but in your soul?

As we celebrate 25 years of Charis Christian Center, we are sharing stories of impact from individuals and families whose lives have been strengthened, built up, and transformed through the teaching of the Word and the power of the Holy Spirit. The Naiman Family shares what Charis has meant to them over the past decade:

"I moved to Colorado Springs with my daughter and granddaughter in 2016. The first time I walked into Charis Christian Center I immediately felt at home. My husband, now with Jesus, and I had pastored for 25 years, so I was looking for a church to grow in that preached the Word without compromise and operated in the power of the Holy Spirit. After 10 years, I can honestly say that the anointing on Pastor Lawson and Barbara gets stronger and stronger, which helps me to grow more in my walk with the Lord! The staff is also amazing, with a very strong Praise and Worship team, Children’s ministry, explosive Youth ministry, and Men and Women’s ministry where we can serve and grow together as the family of God. It just keeps getting better and better, and this is just the beginning!"

We are so grateful for 25 years of consistency, integrity, growth, and the tangible presence of God at work in this house.

As we celebrate 25 years of Charis Christian Center, we are sharing stories of impact—real testimonies of how God has used this church, the teaching of the Word, and the leading of the Holy Spirit to build lives, restore joy, and strengthen faith. This testimony reflects the freedom, grace, and spiritual growth that comes from being planted in a church that faithfully follows the Word of God.⁠

“Prior to coming to Charis Christian Center, our family was faithfully attending a church that was becoming more legalistic as time moved on. This legalism quenched the move of the Holy Spirit and sang unscriptural songs that we had to change what we were singing as we were singing it. Often we would not even go into the sanctuary but do a Bible study in the foyer of the church or at Starbucks or do a Bible study after we got home to charge us back up in the grace of God. While attending this church was wearing us out, we didn’t hear God tell us to change churches until 2011.⁠
⁠
In June of 2011 we committed ourselves to Charis Christian Center and since then we experienced in hindsight just how exhausting it was on us to filter out this legalism. It is quite the relief to be able to attend a church that doesn’t wear us down but rather builds us up. A church that isn’t afraid to preach the truth of the gospel of grace, to never compromise the Bible, and to flow in the gifts of the Holy Spirit.⁠
⁠
The integrity of the Perdue family and their heart and love for the Lord shines through their ministry and it is a blessing to be part of that and call this church our home.”⁠
