Welcome to Regency Love Stories.
I write and produce every story here myself. Each one starts as an original
outline — the characters, the household, the particular knot they have to
untangle — and none of them retell an existing novel. If you love Austen,
Heyer, or the Brontës you'll recognise the world; the plots you won't,
because they're mine.
Every episode is a full-length audio drama. I write the script, direct the
narration, master the audio, and build the visuals by hand — most episodes
carry more than 150 individually chosen images, arranged and animated to
follow the story beat by beat. The imagery is AI-generated and labelled as
such: the tool renders what I've written, but the story, the pacing, and
every choice on screen are mine.
Longing letters, ballroom whispers, inherited duty, and the secrets that
outlast both.
Regency Love Stories
I built a place where these stories can be read as well as heard: Emberside. Link's in the description.
Same stories, in better shape. All 60 from this channel are there, and I'm putting 4K versions up daily. You get a proper player, a read-along transcript I check by hand line by line — not auto-captions — and you can mark passages as you read, mark stories finished, favourite the ones you want to come back to, and rate them. More of that kind of thing is coming. There's a phone and tablet app that runs smooth, and casting to a TV holds up just as well.
Every story is briefed, edited and proofread before it goes up, same as always. That matters more than it sounds like it should — you know the type of story out there. How many Ashworth dukes with grey eyes have you seen on YouTube?
Each one also gets 35 to 50 curated images, with every character kept visually consistent down to the smallest side part, and checked against the period so nothing looks out of place. I haven't found anywhere else putting that much into a single story.
If you want to support the work, membership is $14 a month through Stripe, so it's secure. That's what lets me keep making these, and the price holds while I finish moving the whole catalogue over in 4K. Further down the line, some of what I make will only live there.
Not sure? That's fair. Make a free account and try the story that's open to everyone — see how it feels.
5,000 of you here now. I don't take that for granted.
