WE DID IT!!! 🎉 Guys, it's hard to wrap my head around it but we just crossed 200 THOUSAND subscribers here on YouTube!!! 🤯 It's been one hell of a journey... I started this 6 years ago, purely as a hobby and to help teach my coop students about finance. I NEVER expected it to grow into my career and I never expected to build so many wonderful relationships along the way!

Many of you have been with me since day one... 🙏 and even if we haven't met in person, I want you to know how much I cherish your support and your trust in me ❤️
Leaving a king word, asking thoughtful questions, helping each other out and sticking with me year after year, through the ups and downs.... YOU are the reason I fell in love with this crazy job 😊

⚠️ WARNING - SCAM EMAIL ⚠️

It's a new year and now a new form of SCAM... this time EMAIL imposters... 😕

A few of my viewers have reached out to me and asked about these suspicious emails.
❌ THIS IS NOT ME! Please do NOT respond and block their email right away. ❌

Sadly, they are getting pretty smart and their way of speaking kind of sounds like me...

The biggest giveaway, was the sales pitch on "CRYPTO Opportunities" which definitely doesn't sound like me 😅

However, they are using the title of my recent video, expressing gratitude for your support. It really does sound like me and I'm worried that a lot of people will fall for it...

Even the email address looks legitimate...

This is NOT my email address, I do NOT have ".info" in my email.

Please block them right away.
I wish I could do more but I can't control other email addresses. Even if I report it to gmail, I doubt they will do anything.

Furthermore, I don't even know how they obtained your email addresses? 🤔

To be clear, I do NOT have a newsletter.
I do NOT have a mailing list.

I do NOT collect your email address or personal info in any way.
So even if I wanted to send you an email, I wouldn't be able to...

Here are my rules to follow, across all platforms: (Email, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, etc)

I will NEVER message you first
I will NEVER send you a friend request
I will NEVER email you
I will NEVER give you a sales pitch
I will NEVER offer to invest on your behalf

If you ever see this from someone that "looks like me" it is NOT me. It's a scammer and please block them.

I've been running YouTube for 6 years now and since day 1, I've LOVED engaging with you guys, answering your questions and responding to your messages 😊

But YOU HAVE TO MAKE THE FIRST MOVE!

If you ask me a question or send me an email or a message, I will try my best to answer.
But I will NEVER start a conversation out of the blue.

I already have the verified checkmark on YouTube and the blue checkmark on Instagram.
That's how you know it's really me.

For everything else, like email and TikTok, you have to rely on your judgement and the rules I listed above.

This is easily the worst part about this job...
It's incredibly frustrating and it breaks my heart knowing that a handful of good-hearted people might actually fall for these scams 😕

Please be careful out there, look out for each other and if anything ever seems suspicious, please reach out to me!
Instagram or Youtube comments are the best way to reach me.

⚠️ Upcoming Changes with YouTube Ads... ⚠️

Hey guys, I have some frustrating news regarding YouTube. Starting in November, YouTube will no longer allow me to control what types of ads I allow on my videos.

So very soon, you should expect to see NON-SKIPPABLE Ads for the first time in my videos... 😡

I hate them. Nothing ruins a video experience like an abrupt 20 second advertisement that you HAVE to sit through...

I've been an avid fan of YouTube since 2006 and I've been running this channel for over 4 years.
I made a promise to myself that I would NEVER allow non-skippable ads on my videos.

Even though, allowing those ads would earn me greater revenue from YouTube.
I hate those 20 second non-skippable ads in my personal life and I would NEVER want my viewers to suffer through them.

Unfortunately, I no longer have a choice.

Starting in November, ALL types of ads will be allowed on videos.
It's up to the YouTube algorithm to decide what kind of ad appears (skippable, non-skippable and bumper ads)

I understand that YouTube needs to make money and myself, as a full-time YouTuber, I need to earn a living too but this is not the way.

I made a conscious choice these past 4 years, to reduce my YouTube income in order to improve the viewing experience for my viewers. Now that choice is gone.

I hope you guys will still stick with the YouTube platform and continue to support myself and the thousands of other content creators who are passionate about making videos.

I for one, will try my best to limit the amount of mid-roll ads (ads that appear in the middle of a video)
Again, I have limited control over this. Let's hope that those non-skippable ads don't show up in the middle of a video, we'll find out in November...

Personally, I have been paying $13 a month for YouTube Premium in order to skip these annoying ads.
There are also ad-blockers out there but I can't vouch for their effectiveness.

I love YouTube. I've loved it as a viewer for 17 years and I've loved it as a creator for 4 years.
I don't want YouTube to change but it is happening.
