DEVATA | Folk Deities of Bundelkhand & Chambal

in the 6th month of Hindu Calendar - Bahado (Bhadra) , it is believed that local DEVATA of the village gets into one of the villager's body , people all over nearby villages come to the DEVATA , to ask solutions for their problems...
the DEVATA is called by performing GOTH (folk song) in which a special instrument called DHANK is used
A small MELA (fair) happens at that place with Bhandara in the end

हिंदू कैलेंडर के छठे महीने - बहादो (भाद्र) में, यह माना जाता है कि गांव के स्थानीय देवता ग्रामीणों में से किसी एक के शरीर में प्रवेश करते हैं, आस-पास के सभी गांवों के लोग अपनी समस्याओं का समाधान पूछने के लिए देवता के पास आते हैं...
देवता को गोथ (लोक गीत) प्रस्तुत करके बुलाया जाता है जिसमें ढांक नामक एक विशेष वाद्य यंत्र का उपयोग किया जाता है
उस स्थान पर एक छोटा सा मेला लगता है जिसके अंत में भंडारा होता है |

look at him..he is annoyed from humans..
had a gut feeling, he was hit by a car, as i saw him and stopped,
he tried to ran away ,with one broken leg..
.
.
why not elevated roads, when you need to make a way through a jungle..
CoExist but with Respect for each other..
never seen animals trying to harm humans without reason, so why we harm them without reason...

i do remember...this visual in childhood..
right before 8pm ,we play in the streets.. as 8pm is approaching, I asked for my turn in the game....

and as the clock ticks.. 8pm ..there is a loud voice in the background..

" aa rha hai ghr me..ki taala lgade.. bahr hi sojaio aj " 😂
