EIACP Resource Partner Centre on ‘Geodiversity & Impact on Environment’ (earlier known as thematic Centre on Biogeochemistry) was started in the year 1994 at School of Environmental Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi with financial aid from the Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change, Government of India. The Centre is functioning as a resource partner (RP) in the Environmental Information System (ENVIS) network spread all over the country as ENVIS Hubs and RPs, with the focal point at the Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change (MoEF&CC), New Delhi.

Once a degraded urban depression, Neela Hauz in Delhi has been transformed into a thriving biodiversity park through an innovative Zero Energy Sewage Water Treatment System. Using natural filtration via stones, oxidation, and aquatic plants, sewage water is converted into clean water—within CPCB standards—supporting 70+ bird species, butterflies, and more! 🦆🦋
This ecological restoration project is a shining example of #NatureBasedSolutions and #WaterConservation, led by collective efforts from DDA, local communities.
