A bit of a channel update/announcement, as I owe each and every one of you an explanation as to what happened to F1 UNFILTERED.
As most of you would know, this channel used to make team radio content. It was content I really enjoyed making because it helped people understand the complex and fascinating nuances of our sport. Not only that, but it sort of became a platform for us fans to come together and share thoughts and opinions on the events that took place over the course of a season. We really had and still have a fantastic community.
However, at the start of the 2022 season all of that would change, as many new videos started to get blocked.
Despite that, I still wanted to keep this channel going. So I desperately tried to think of different ways to avoid these sanctions. This included replacing the engine sounds, as well as completely removing the original audio and keeping only subtitles. Although these solutions were far from ideal, it was better than not being able to produce content entirely. Unfortunately though, none of that actually worked. The new videos even without any visual or audio material still kept being blocked and it was clear at that point somebody didn't want this channel to continue in the direction it was heading.
Fast forward to today, Formula One is still a sport I adore, and making content about it is something I really missed doing. This led me to think of ways to make new content that is insightful and follows the same ethos as what F1 UNFILTERED originally intended. You may have already seen one of my recent videos/shorts and would know what this new direction is. And if you haven't, I highly welcome you to check them out!
I would also like to take this opportunity to introduce a new channel name and logo, P1 UNFILTERED. I contemplated on this idea a lot, but I felt like it's an important thing to do as we head into a new direction. I wanted the new name to resonate the old whilst at the same time defining its own identity. P1 as it's a term often used in the F1 circle, and unfiltered because I want to keep producing content that doesn't have any restrictions or boundaries.
Lastly, I just wanted to say a massive thank you for all of your patience, warm messages, and continued support for this channel throughout this difficult period. Your kindness and encouragement is what made me miss producing F1 related content so much, and I really look forward to creating more of it in the near future!
