Northwest Weekenders

Hi everyone. Needless to say it's been over 5 weeks since we've posted a video, which is much longer than I want or could imagine taking to post our adventures. We do have about four or five outings that still need to be edited but a long story short is we are expecting our second child (Kailey is 5 1/2 months pregnant), business has picked up, and life just keeps coming at us full speed. It's not a matter of not wanting to but truly just a matter of not having the time to put my proper energy and creativity into our videos.

YouTube doesn't pay enough money to justify putting that above other priorities in our life when push comes to shove. So we've been focused on our faith, family, and finances.

I started editing a video this week and plan on releasing it by the end of the week. From that point on we will get back to posting regularly, with the goal of about once per week.

Thank you guys for all the support and for watching our content. It means the world to us.

We are looking at this as a little refresh and reset and are ready to hit it hard again and keep bringing you guys videos that you enjoy.

Northwest Weekenders

We just wanted to reach out and share why we haven't posted content for over 3 weeks now. Kailey took a much deserved week-long girl's trip with her family. During the return flight, her father (Tony) suffered a stroke while at work. We're grateful he is alive and has a great chance at a full recovery, but it's a long road ahead with many challenges and expenses. Any well wishes and or words of encouragement that we can pass on to Tony would be so greatly appreciated. If anyone is feeling led to help further, please reach out directly to us and we'll get you connected with our donation/gift card/meal train platform. We don't expect anything but would be incredibly grateful for any help we may receive from the Northwest Weekenders community.

A new and exciting video from Kailey's trip will be posted in the coming days!

Northwest Weekenders

Unfortunately, there will be no video this week. I (Danny) hurt my back a few weeks ago and have been out of commission for a while so we don't have our usual adventures to share with you all. I am doing much better now and able to return to fishing and crabbing as usual. We appreciate you understanding and can't wait to get back out there and continue producing content. The video footage available to post this week isn't quite up to our standards (compilation of a few mostly unsuccessful local fishing trips) and feel that instead of posting something like that, we'll just wait and get right back on track next week.

Again, we are very sorry. We have been posting weekly without fail for over 2 years now and so this is a reminder to us that life happens. We have LOTS planned for the remainder of summer and early fall: ocean charter fishing, salmon charter fishing, crabbing, surf fishing and summer trout fishing and more. Take care, and we'll see you all very soon.

Northwest Weekenders

This week's video is scheduled to release Thursday, February 1st at 10:00 am PT. For those of you who were expecting our usual Wednesday night release, we apologize for not uploading timely. This is only the second time in almost two years we have "missed" our usual posting schedule. With that said, we stayed up late/early morning to finish the video and absolutely love it (crabbing and a delicious catch and cook). We figured posting it during waking hours would make more sense than at 2:00 am PT.

Northwest Weekenders

Hey everyone! We began posting on this channel about 8 months ago and NEVER thought it would catch on the way it has. We've both been fishing our entire lives and almost a decade together. We are so thankful that we've been able to continue doing what we love while having the opportunity to share our adventures with you. We just hit 500 subscribers and are at a loss for words. For us it never has been and never will be about the subs or potential to make money. We make videos we enjoy and believe them to be unique and am so happy that there are people who enjoy the content we create. To all our subscribers, commenters, returning viewers, and new viewers we want to say THANK YOU! We truly enjoy you and have big plans to extend our reach and start getting together with those who are interested in enjoying the outdoors alongside us, networking, or just becoming new fishing friends.

We've recently bought a home and have some other very exciting news that we will share with you all in due time.

We will continue posting weekly and have no plans on stopping anytime soon!
