This Sunday, November 16, we got something special to you!

We are launching the Raiz (Roots) documentary, directed by Carolina Ramos Cardoso as part of her Bachelor in Studio M, Toulouse. Drawn to the work taking place at Silveira Tech and the values behind it, Carolina spent several days filming our daily routines and collective efforts to regenerate the land.

From the creator / director:
"After years of destruction, the forests of Serra da Lousã struggle to come back to life. At Silveira Tech, men and women plant, clear, carry, and protect what remains, never knowing if it will be enough. Every gesture counts. Every sprout carries both hope and risk.

Their work is woven into daily life: shared meals, conversations, laughter, moments of doubt. Action shapes those who take it, giving weight and meaning to even the smallest acts.

Raiz tells the story of this fragile yet determined reconstruction. Restoring the forest becomes a way of restoring oneself. Each tree planted, each gesture, each breath is an act of resistance and hope. In these modest, repeated efforts, a burned world slowly awakens, carried by the persistence and humanity of those who refuse to give up."

No narration — just the rhythm of real people rebuilding connection with the land.

Fire Did Not Break Our Spirit ❤️‍🩹

On August 14th, at the peak of a brutal heatwave, a massive fire swept through the mountains of Lousã. Despite all our prevention work, 95% of our land was burned — only our infrastructure survived. The fire came too soon for our regeneration efforts to fully take hold, but even so, they helped soften the impact.

From the beginning, we knew the risks. This devastation is the legacy of decades of abandonment, mismanagement, and flammable monocultures. But we also know the solutions — and standing now in the ashes, our determination is stronger than ever. We will restore balance through regeneration. 🌱
