Happy 4th of July! 🇺🇸
Today millions celebrate freedom, independence, and national identity. But did you know God Himself was the first to establish national celebrations for His people?

In ancient Israel, God commanded the people to keep holy days that were not just religious but also deeply patriotic.

Passover (Pesach) celebrated freedom from slavery — Israel’s Independence Day.

Pentecost (Shavuot) remembered the giving of the Law — their Constitution.

Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) reminded them of their journey — their survival story.

Purim and Hanukkah commemorated victories over oppression — national deliverance and restored worship.


God knew a nation needs memory to stay strong.
Celebrations unite people, remind them who they are, and declare who they trust: “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” (Psalm 33:12)

As we celebrate this 4th of July, let’s thank God for freedom — not just civil freedom, but the freedom Christ gives. And let’s pray that our nations stand firm in truth and faith.
