Hello Everyone,

We are Donto and Amy, the Food Foresters. We are a blended family that lives in central Florida and in 2015, we purchased 2.2 acres in zone 9a/9b. Both the house and land were run down and overgrown. We started fixing up the house to live in and to this day, we are still remodeling the inside.

In 2017, we decided to start a food forest/homestead/farm/gardening and living off the land as much as possible. Our biggest challenge is the flooding. We have dual purpose animals and we are trying to figure out what to grow and where. We still have a lot of obstacles ahead of us, so come along and learn as we move forward in this fun journey.
