I’ve been wondering what to say in light of the year coming to an end, as I was so loved and taken care of this Christmas, but also dealt with it heavy grief this year which all came bubbling to the surface over the holidays. My Christmas was neither wholly good nor bad, but, thanks to my partner, son and mother in law, it was beautiful.
I think mostly what I want to say is thank you ❤️, thank you for helping make my dream of writing about what I love come true. Thank you for watching my videos and inspiring me to keep going in this endeavour through your supportive comments.
If you’re hurting right now, don’t do it alone. And if your cup is full, remember to share your love, happiness and curiosity with others. You never know who might need it.

I’ve managed not to get pulled up for copyright this time which is amazing, I’m honestly over the moon. I’m gonna leave it overnight just in case anything comes up, but it looks like paying for early access won’t be necessary and you can all watch it straight away!! 🫶
I’ve been finishing up editing my Naruto video and trying to resist the temptation to add a whole host of little things last minute. As usual…
When I look back at a long project it’s easy to see my own progression and wince at some of the earlier edits or recordings that I would now approach differently. It’s easy to say ‘gosh my voice sounds terrible here’ or ‘this section’s analysis isn’t deep enough’ or ‘this edit is really shoddy compared to what I’ve got in later sections’. This is a challenge that I think all creatives have to wrestle with, and eventually submit to or let go of, one way or another.
When I worked in a locally-esteemed sandwich shop, one of my colleagues gave me some good advice: ‘you’ll want to fuss over the sandwich and make it as perfect as possible, but at the end of the day that’s not what this is about. Don’t make yourself stress. It’ll only slow you down and you’ll make mistakes. Just make the sandwich’. I’m paraphrasing as this was years ago, but whenever I find myself straining for perfection, those words come back to me and ‘just make the sandwich!’ rings in my ears.

Sorry if I've been a little quiet lately. I've been resting loads and enjoying my work and reading lots and looking after my houseplants, leaving not much time for anything else 🤣.
I really hope to release this video for early access by the time Christmas comes around, fingers crossed 🫡💕
Thanks to everyone who watched or participated in the Q&A 🫶. I’m back to editing the Naruto essay of which I now have almost 50 minutes of finished footage - yay!
It’s more of a sweeping thematic venture than Vegeta’s Humanity but you can expect the usual style, occasional cat pictures, and obligatory Kakashi Glazing 🤣
It’s very dark in Scotland right now so if you’d like to brighten my day please leave something cute or funny about your cat, if you have one, in the comments ❤️
