In the meantime I've been working my cat-themed socks off on my Jiraiya retrospective, which is turning out wonderfully :). All the support I received from those who paid for early access to vh4 has spurred me on and I've been really enjoying my writing lately.

Meanwhile, I have written about 7000 words of the Jiraiya essay 😅. For a hermit, he really gets around and seems to be connected in one way or another to every major event in the series, so it'll be longer than my last Naruto essay for sure!
really enjoyed writing on the ravine scene in Naruto the other day. It’s such a good metaphor for Jiraiya having to push Naruto out into an unforgiving world with no sure footholds - and you can see in his smile here that he already believes Naruto has what it takes ❤️.
