𝗡𝗖𝗖 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗜𝘁𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) continues to stand by the nation during challenging times, extending its support to ongoing flood relief operations. The working staff of Colombo Dockyard generously contributed their lunch packets to disaster relief teams mobilized from the Sri Lanka Army.

A total of over 2,000 prepared meals were officially handed over to the Director of the National Cadet Corps, Major General APCR Premathilaka RSP USP ndc, at the Regimental Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps.

These meals were subsequently distributed among displaced families affected by the severe floods and temporarily sheltered in relief centres located in Slave Island, Kaduwela, and Pahala Bomiriya. Cadets from the 3rd, 7th, and 19th Battalions actively supported the distribution process, demonstrating their commitment to service and humanitarian assistance.

The occasion was graced by Major General APCR Premathilaka RSP USP ndc, Director of the National Cadet Corps; Brigadier Janak Chandrasekara, Brigadier Admin & Quartering; the Deputy Director (Western Province); and the Commanding Officers of the 3rd, 7th, and 19th Battalions.

Cadets of St. Thomas’ College, Buddhist College – Matale, and Mahinda Rajapaksha College – Ukuwela of the 13th Battalion actively participated in a clean-up campaign at Hulangamuwa, Matale, where two houses were severely damaged by a massive landslide.

All officers of the 13th Battalion, permanent staff members, and the Commanding Officer took part in the operation, conducted under the supervision of the Provincial Deputy Director.
