Once in my life I went through a very difficult period of betrayal. At that time, the words of a song never ceased to echo in my soul, as if reflecting my pain: «Without You, Lord, I don’t know the way — where I should go or how I should live…»
I saw no light and no way out, for everything in my life was only getting worse and worse.

One day I was riding a bus and sitting by the window, absorbed in those same thoughts. I longed to see a ray of hope and to believe that this prolonged valley of trials would one day come to an end.

The bus was slowly approaching an intersection, and I thought, as if speaking to myself:
“Look, right now you can only see the road up to the intersection. The road beyond the turn will open to you only after the bus makes the turn.
And life works the same way: you cannot see the entire path now, but a certain stretch of your life is visible to you at this moment. Walk it with dignity, and then the next stretch of your life will be revealed — the one that is now hidden until the time appointed by the Lord.”

This little revelation helped me! I stopped worrying about what lay ahead and tried to remain in God’s will here and now. The Lord gradually opened the way, and, turn by turn, He led me out of the valley of trials, richly blessing me with a peaceful and happy life.

Dear friend, if you are now going through a difficult period of your life and it seems to you that there is no way out ahead — remember: the Lord Himself is leading you step by step. You don’t need to see the whole path at once; it is enough to walk the part that is open to you today. Do this with faith and dignity, and then God will reveal the next step in His time.

Do not let despair rob you of hope. Even if the path seems long and heavy, remember: at the end of any tunnel there is light. The Lord is faithful, and He is able to turn your valley of trials into a place of blessing, peace, and joy.

You are not alone. God is near you — and right now He is strengthening your heart.
