Let's discover the universe together! My name is Naz (Nazmus Nasir) and I live in the outskirts of Boston where the skies are very bright (Bortle 7/8) and I have a passion for astronomy and astrophotography. I started astronomy when I was very young but didn't get my first telescope until I was a teenager. I've been doing astrophotography since 2012 and I'm eager to share with you everything I learn along the way.

Anyone using Naztronomy - Smart Telescope PP v2.0.3 may see compression turned on and left on if the script doesn't finish running or it crashes. I'm making a quick change so that compression is now an Option. In the meantime, if you keep getting .fz files and you don't them, go to Preferences >> FITS Options >> turn off compression at the bottom. Apologies for any confusion.

2025 is coming to a close and I think we should hang out on New Year's Eve Eve (December 30th) around 9 pm Eastern Standard Time.
I'm planning to do a live stream hang out where you can join a Discord call and share anything you'd like. It can be your favorite astrophoto from 2025, what you're looking forward to in 2026, ask a question, answer a question, share your current imaging session, etc. If you don't want to be on the call but would still like to show off a photo or two, send me what you want to share with a little blurb about it and I'll show it off to the world.
