Many people are criticising and trolling KKR management as they have bought Venkatesh Iyer at the price of 23.75cr.
Many people think this is highly overvalued.
Is it so???
Let's see Why KKR bought Venkatesh Iyer on such big value. Watch the full video to find out the untolds.
Venkatesh Iyer has Joined KKR in the year 2021. He has started playing as opener from mid season of that year and performed brilliantly which took KKR to the final of the tournament from the bottom of the table. After that we all know that he has been retained but failed to perform as per expectations.
Though if you check, last two seasons
In the year 2023
He has played 14 matches and scored 404 runs With an average of 29 & strikerate of 146.
He has scored 1 century 2 half centuries.
Last year in 2024
He has played 15 matches . He has scored 370 runs with an Average of 46 & Strikerate of 159 including 4 50plus scores.
He can bat at any position. He can bowl few handy overs and he is a good fielder also.
But I want to tell you something more interesting.
KKR is the 3rd best team in IPL in number of trophies. At head to head KKR is also ahead of RCB, DC, SRH and PBKS. RR and KKR share equal wins at head to head. With GT they are behind by 3-2 and with LSG it's 2-1.
But with the most successful teams which are CSK and MI, these numbers are very bad.
Since start of IPL KKR has played 34 matches Against Mumbai , where they lost 23 matches and won only 11.
And here comes the surprise for you.
Since venkatesh Iyer has started playing for KKR ,they have able to beat Mumbai 5 out of 6 times with absolutely brilliant performance of Venkatesh Iyer. Even in this only loosing match, Venky has scored a century.

In 6 matches, he has scored 362 runs with an average of 72.40 and a strike rate of 165.
Scored 3 half centuries also.
