Apparently, I discovered an oil well site in south central Kentucky dating back to March 1829 where the pioneers were drilling for salt brine and dug 175 feet (55 meters) deep and oil shot up to the surface and the surrounding trees and covered the Cumberland River for 40 miles downstream. The oil caught fire and burned back upstream causing a “river of fire” which explains on the historical marker sign. I have the video of the oil well uploaded and I’ll upload the next video about how the river caught on fire from the oil. The current video is “ I Discovered An Oil Well Site Dating Back to 1829” with almost 1000 views.
To give you all an update, I haven’t uploaded any videos since April due to the weather becoming very hot and humid. I did find some ancient Native American petroglyphs somewhere near the Green River dating back to the Mississippian Culture from 1000 A.D. to 1540 A.D. at the time when Hernando DeSoto came across what is now present day Kentucky and travelled up to Henderson where he passed away in 1541.
Last Sunday, I took an adventure with my friends to a place called the Pinnacle Bluff which is an overlook bearing over the Cumberland River in Kentucky and it was a popular hang gliding spot in the 1970’s and 1980’s. Also Cloyd’s Landing was a small community named after John “Jack” Cloyd in the early 1800’s and there was a ferry there too and it ran until the late 1960’s. You can check my full video in the link below. https://youtu.be/2QsB9Oxwqsk
I’ve explored an old house hidden in a hollow with much of it currently falling down due to neglect and there has been some cattle around there. I’ll have my video uploaded tomorrow afternoon.

I hiked 3.9 miles through this valley and followed upstream to find where the creek starts from.
