This is the place to find all the dark academia, royalty core, cottagecore, fairy core vibes. We want each video to have it's own emotional vibe and aesthetic to be used to help you study for an exam, finish your homework, work on a project for work, or just allow you wind down from a stressful day.
Each video's playlist is curated by us to evoke feelings. Some videos will let you get into your melancholic feelings, some are about inspiring adventure, some about hopeful dreaminess, and others, are just to help you chill and feel good.

Hello Fellow Academics,
Work has been kicking mine and Margaret's ass. So unfortunately we need to push back this weeks video until the weekend. Good news is though that this kind of makes it so there will be two next week. Because we are not stopping.

Hey Folks! We are not gone!
We got a couple comments asking us to come back. So we wanted to ease any fears. We are not going away. The start of the year is always a very busy period for Margaret and I work wise. This year has been especially hard hitting. While we wanted to have a handful of videos out already this year, we were forced to slow down a little bit. But we are already working on a new playlist for next week. Let us know what kind of content you are itching for next!
After that I cannot say what our upload schedule is going to be. I would like to do twice a week. I think that is the sweet spot for us, but that is also a good bit of work to do right. So we might oscillate between weekly uploads and twice weekly. Stay tuned!

Quick Question: Who here likes and watches nature sound videos for sleep or study? Like rain on water for 10 hours or waves at the beach, etc, etc.

Title gate 2022 UPADTE!!!!!!!!! Keep reading for some very…..tepid…tea.
So, a couple of weeks ago, we made a community poll about competing playlist channels stealing our titles. It turned out to be our most divisive poll ever. After the poll, we shrugged and said there is not much we can do about it and moved on. When we made that original post, our views had been dropping. We accepted responsibility, got back to the grind stone, and turned to our competitors to get ideas on what was working and what wasn’t. All for the goal to make better content for you all.
That is when we noticed something strange.
A LOT of the channels who are stealing other people’s titles are eerily similar. Like it’s kind of wild. There will be identical descriptions shared between several channels. While other channels will have different descriptions but identical videos and playlists. Then, some others will have nothing in common but will promote a different channel on their channel home page. Then that channel would have some connecting factor with the other channels. It became this rabbit hole where a dozen or so dark academia channels had some sort of nebulous link to one another. I admit this could be an insane coincidence, but if it is not, we can only see two possibilities: at best they are all being run by a group of friends or, at worst, they are all being run by a single person who is trying to monopolize the niche.
If you are not thinking about unsubscribing to us because we sound insane, you might be also be thinking, “Okay, that’s weird, but what difference does it make?” Well, it doesn’t make any difference at all. There is nothing wrong with what they are doing. We still think it is kind of shitty to steal other people’s playlist ideas, but it’s not against any rules. They can make as many channels as they want and repost their own playlists as many times as they want. It does end up boxing out other channels, like ours, and that sucks.
That is part of the reason why I got sucked down this rabbit hole. The other reason is because for the life of me, I cannot fathom why anyone would have multiple Dark Academia playlist channels. They cannot be monetized, so there is zero money to be earned. Furthermore, a couple of these channels are pretty successful. The largest one we could find has nearly 100k subscribers at the time of writing this. So, if you have a successful YouTube channel, why make another channel that posts identical, competing content, let alone create several competing channels? I cannot figure it out for the life of me.
Still, it doesn’t matter, and like I said, they are not breaking any rules that I know of. All we can do is keep making playlists that we like and that we hope you all like. So that is what we are going to do. All we can ask from you fine people is to give us feedback when you choose to watch one of our videos. Let us know if you like or don’t like something so we can use that to keep making better content.
