Magdalena Niernsee is a polish artist in love with indian dance since 1998. Graduated from renowned Kathak Kendra in New Delhi, (3-years Diploma Hons. course) discipline of famous Guru Pt. Jai Kishan Maharaj of Lucknow gharana. Apart from Kathak dance, trained in Bharatanatyam and semi classical Bollywood as well.
At present leads regular classes of Kathak in Warsaw and workshops in Poland and abroad. Performing classical Kathak recitals on recorded or live music, cooperating with other professional dancers and musician in artistic projects (Harp&Kathak, Bharatanatyam-Kathak, contemporary Kathak or Flamenco-Kathak fusion, indian fairy tales project and other). Organising programms presenting indian culture and daily life through photos and short movies along with stories based on her own experiences.
She is well known for her open-mind attitude toward art and she is the most patient and supportive teacher.
