π§π«WAF gold reserves in Burkina Faso now reach an unprecedented 202 tonnes:
The West African Resources (WAF) portfolio of gold assets, exclusively concentrated in Burkina Faso, now posts 6.5 million ounces of reserves (about 202 tonnes of gold). This update from the first-semester financial report released by the company on Tuesday, August 26, marks an increase of about 2% from the 6.3 million reserves reported in July 2024
This estimate represents the accumulation of current gold reserves of Sanbrado, Kiaka and Toega, the three assets piloted by WAF in Burkina Faso. After Sanbrado, which went into production in 2020, Kiaka became the second project operated by the Australian mining company in the country last June. Toega, a satellite depot of Sanbrado, is expected to enter production by the end of 2025.
This is further evidence of regained sovereignty......
