⚖️ can the right to life. Also include the right to Die with dignity?

In landmark development ( Harish Rana vs. UOI ) the Supreme Court has allowed withdrawal of life support for a patient in a permanent vegetative state. Reinforcing that dignity must remain even at the end of life.

The court relied on the principles recognizing Article 21,of Indian constitution, the right to life also includes the right to Die with dignity in certain circumstances.

This decisions reminds us that law is not just about life and death. It’s about human dignity.

Can criminal law be misused to falsely implicate someone?

The Supreme Court of India has issued notice to the central government and all states on a PIL seeking safeguards against false complaints and fabricated cases.

The petition argues that such missus can violate article 21 of the Constitution of India, the right to life and personal liberty.

It also points to provisions under the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023, dealing with false charges and false evidence, urging stronger implementation and awareness.

📌Current status- the Supreme Court has sought responses from the central and states. The matter is now under judicial consideration.

👉 missuse of law vs protection of rights, where should the balance lie?

❌ Delhi High Court declares mandatory service charge illegal in India.

The Delhi High Court has ruled the mandatory service charges added by restaurants are illegal and cannot be imposed on customers by default.

This means you’re not legally bound to pay service charge.
It is it must be optional and voluntary.
If a business forces it, you can raise a complaint.

service charge is not the same as tip. Tip is voluntary, legally yours to decide.

This ruling strengthens consumer rights and stops unfair billing practices.

save and share this if you ever faced force service charge.
