Both were milestones I only set as goals—but they happened because I stayed purposeful, clear, and consistent about my goals, even when, in the start, it felt like no one believed in me.

On your journey to achieving your goals, people may doubt you. They may tell you to quiet down or call you corny for wanting to improve your life. It’s all noise—until you prove them very wrong.

If so, let me tell you a funny story about how I got started.

I still remember the exact day I decided to invest in myself and take content creation seriously. I was passionate about the topics I wanted to share, and I knew I was ready to commit.

But there was just one problem…
My camera sucked. ‼️

I was convinced I needed the best equipment to produce high-quality content. I spent 6-8 months saving up $1,500 for a high-end, expensive camera because I thought, “There’s no way I can create good enough content without it.”

Finally, the big day came. I got the camera, started recording consistently, and was ready to go hard! ☕🎬

...Until I lost the charger cable two weeks in SMH.

I didn’t want to lose my momentum, so I said, “You know what? I’ll just use my phone.” And that’s exactly what I did. 📱

To my surprise:
☕ The quality was just as good.
☕ It saved me so much time.
☕ I realized I didn’t need that $1,500 camera after all.

So, the first thing I did? I sold it for about $1,000 to some random person on Facebook Marketplace haha.

From that day on, I used my smartphone to record most of my content—and I still do. My car videos? Yep, all recorded on my phone, and they look amazing. 🚗📲

The moral of the story?
If you’re planning to start creating content in 2025, you don’t need a bunch of expensive equipment. You can start with what’s already in your pocket—your smartphone.
