I need to offer an apology …
Some time ago, I changed the setting for commenting on my videos to “hold for review”. This was to keep the rude, unhelpful or self-promoting comments from our channel.
After making the change I assumed that I would receive notifications when there were comments to review. I never received a notification. At first I thought it was strange that I wasn’t getting comments so I tried checking my app a couple times to see if I had any. Despite my best efforts, I was not able to find any. Eventually I forgot about it.
Well, late Wednesday night, I accidentally discovered where all the comments were being held for approval. Unfortunately, YouTube discards any comments that are left unapproved for more than 60 days. So there were months of comments that I never saw, that are now discarded. I am so sorry if you have tried to comment and it was never posted.
Now I am working through all that are in my queue, but it is going to take some time to work through all of them.
