As many of you know, I’m very open about loss — especially after losing my youngest son in October to a full-term stillbirth. In remembrance of him… I love you so much, my sweet boy. 💙

I also want to recognize something deeply important: no matter how far along a mother is, a loss is still a loss.

About a week ago, I found out I was pregnant with our rainbow baby. I was so excited. So hopeful. Because this baby would have needed to be delivered at 37 weeks via C-section, the due date was going to be October 5, 2026 — my youngest son’s birthday. That felt like more than a coincidence. It felt like hope.

I was excited for my oldest son to be a big brother again… and for my youngest son to become a big brother too.

After a full-term loss, my heart is guarded and terrified. I tried not to let myself get too attached too quickly. I stayed cautious. I did everything right. I made sure I was healed. I made sure my bloodwork was on point. I couldn’t believe we got it on our first month.

But this morning, I received confirmation that I experienced an early miscarriage and I am no longer pregnant.

My heart hurts. It’s nowhere near the pain of losing my youngest son — but it is still a loss. I lost a dream. A future child. The image of growing our family. In just four short days, I gathered so much hope and so much excitement… and just like that, it was gone.

Stillbirth. Miscarriage. A loss is a loss.

This has made my heart even more guarded — but it has also reminded me just how much of a miracle my oldest son truly is to be here with us on earth. Life is fragile. Babies are miracles.

I believe everything happens for a reason. Even though I’m angry. Even though I’m hurting. I still hold onto a small piece of hope that there is a future with more babies for us.

So with all of this being said… I pray that in 2026, we will welcome our double rainbow baby. 🌈🌈
