Hey yo. I made a small update on membership of this channel. Meaning... from now on all the members gets 24 hours early access to all my upcoming Supercuts/Superhypercuts and I also created a second level which gives all the perks from first level + you'll get fancy Executive producer title in the end credits. Just like they do it in Hollywood.

ps. Next superhypercut is coming soon™. It will be a re-release but with 33% new content added to it and re-visiting one idea with the format. If you guys want a small teaser, I can post a small snippet from the cut that doesn't give you any spoilers but it will give some of you good idea what it's about.
Hi. You may know me as Steve. I'm the guy behind all these supercuts I have been releasing in the past year and I started to think I need to open some kind of dialogue with you guys what is going on with the channel, goals and try to be more transparent. And let's make it a rule that I only post these kind of wall of text once in a year or if something major happens in my life etc because I personally hate it when content creator start spamming all the time with hype blurp or even worse nonsense. Agreed? Cool.
Anyway. Let's talk about channel goals. When I started to upload more in this channel, it was just me posting some random videogame clips for my own amusement but there were couple goals floating in the back of my head that I would like to achieve but I was realistic about it. I thought it would either never happen or just with dumb luck I would get it. First goal was getting 1 million views on a video. A bit unrealistic goal at one point in the life of this channel but goddamn, that really did happen and with the video I made it on a whim. The first supercut. Yeah, it's rough piece of editing work and I did everything the hard way and backwards. Literally. And the most insane about it is that I did the whole thing within a day. Especially how much time I use for these days for a one supercut. But then again, I needed to go through that first 6 months of learning experience where I dipped my toes in the art of editing, streamlining the workflow and same time searching for the overall feeling of the supercut - the rhythm, the flow and the soul of the format in the timeline of the video-editor. And over year later, I enjoy making these supercuts more due to format having some variation and the feel of these supercuts is now locked tight and the awesome feedback from you guys tells me I'm still on the right path. And I'm still learning which makes it fun.
Second goal, which could take 10 years but I'm not in a hurry. 100k subscribers. A simple goal but I do want that plaque from Google to show it off on my livingroom wall next to my records. Telling the story of my music taste and I manage to do something with my life. And me being me, I also treat this channel as some sort of social experiment in the age of the 2020's internet. Meaning I don't advertise my content on social media because the grumpy old fuck is taking over in me and I don't wanna waste the time on doing that. Just make videos, upload them, rinse and repeat. Let the algorithm do its thing. That's also the reason I don't push down the throat the usual cringe lines in the video "please like, comment and subscribe" because I understand that good content will find its audience in the end. So... let's see how far we can go with this mentality.
What else? Oh yeah. 5k subscribers later, somehow I managed to get monetization enabled on this channel which was a bit suprise for me since I use copyrighted and other people's material and Google is usually big no-no with that kind of content if you try to become Youtube partner. I don't expect getting money from all of this because, well duh, it's copyrighted material and it's still just a fun hobby for me but I enabled Youtube membership on this channel if you still want to support me:
So far I have only put one level with perks (0.99€/month) because I understand, the money is tight these days in the crazy world we are living where price of everything goes up and me charging for more is just absurd for this kind of entertainment. And second reason why I didn't make any other levels because I don't want to create exclusive Discord channel or some other bullshit that I don't want to be part of. I've had my share of that life from 00's by hanging in the IRC channels so that's why I don't use that kind of messaging system anymore.
But then again, I do need to buy a new editing rig at some point because Microsoft decided that the first gen Threadripper isn't good enough for Windows 11 security. Thanks Microsoft. So I'm still thinking what do on that front. Either pay for updates for a year in Windows 10 and delay the inevitable, install reforked and stripped down Windows 11 on my current editing rig or buy a new CPU, motherboard and all that jazz. To the one guy who shouts in the comments: "Why don't you make a jump to Linux". No thanks. I have too many other software that I use daily and it would be too much of a hassle to even find a replacement that doesn't suck. Yeah, don't you just love it that you are forced to upgrade even if you're still happy with the hardware you bought 8+ years ago? But hey, that's totally my problem to solve.
So yeah that's the gist of it what's going on. I'm still going to make supercuts and toying ideas in my head with other music related stuff because I've been huge music buff most of my life and this is a good way me to show the great music out there. Also me staring at timeline of the editor has become a good balance against the mundane bs in my life. Release schedule for the videos are still going to be totally random because I have day job that sometimes conflicts with my days off. Me being tired after shitty, long work schedule etc. and if I'm not editing anything, then I'm collecting videos to the countless project folders or watching content on Youtube that would possible ignite the spark on making the certain supercut. But mind you, not every supercuts gets uploaded or even finished. Some stays in the draft folder and I only upload videos that I know is gonna be good. So far that workflow and mentality has been working for me.
Finally, big shout out to you crazy Australians for rooting one of your own, RENegades and Lorna Shore fans. You guys have been very supportive for my edits and I thank you for it. You have made an important impact on my life.

ps. Next supercut is coming soon™. A song that takes you into a spiritual journey.
Hey yo. This is not gonna be habit of me posting and spamming posts in YouTube, but I'm gonna do a bit heads up with this one. I'm currently suffering from pneumonia which means I need to put my edits on hold for the moment. I was working on Supercut/Superhypercut (I have not decided yet which direction to take it in and it's a track about love, so....) before all the shits hit the fan on my body.
Anyway, thanks for all awesome feedback you guys have given me since I started making these supercuts and it's a bit funny to see YouTube algorithm finally kicking in on few of my videos and I get seriously ill when it was time to reap the rewards. But I hope I can get back to staring the timeline on my video-editor and continue the work I started because so far I liked the what I was seeing.
