I publish one video each week, either a Technique Tuesday or a Casual Friday. Technique Tuesdays demonstrate specific knitting techniques while Casual Fridays explore a variety of textile-related topics, including knitting history and my current projects, which run the gamut from spinning, dyeing, knitting, and sewing. I often knit items from vintage or antique sources.

I am back from a week-long road trip, but I am pooped! I drove 600 miles (1000 km) solo yesterday, I have tons to talk about regarding my trip (fiber stuff at every stop), but my ability to think through what I want to say, and to be peppy about it on camera is not where I'd like it to be.
This week's scheduled Casual Friday will be uploaded next Friday. So next week, expect the regularly scheduled Technique Tuesday, plus this week's Casual Friday.
This schedule disruption might be a continuing theme for September and October. I have quite a bit of traveling in the next 8 weeks, and I'm working on getting things recorded ahead of time, but we'll see how things go! I might have to skip a video here and there.

I am lucky to live in an area with a vibrant textile community. In addition to dozens of places where new supplies and books can be purchased, there are several places where used craft supplies can be donated and/or purchased. This is not always the case. If you have ever had to clear out a stash of yarn and/or craft books, what sorts of places did you find that were happy to take them? (Answers might be different for the yarn than the books.)

Argh! After knitting up swatches and writing an outline of today's technique video, I had a sudden feeling of deja vu. Turns out I had already done a video on this topic! (With 300+ technique videos, and another 300+ Casual Friday videos, I don't always remember every video I've done.) So no TechTues video this week. Sorry about that. I'll see you next week for Casual Friday, and a new Technique Tuesday video two weeks from today.
