Rahul Gandhi recently said: “The Indian economy is dead. Modi killed it.”
But facts say something else. Let’s check them 📊:
✅ India is the fastest-growing major economy (IMF)
✅ Projected 6.4% GDP growth in 2025-26
✅ 4th largest economy in the world (2025, overtook Japan)
✅ 2.1% inflation – lowest in 77 months
✅ Leading in UPI, infra, startups & tech
✅ A key driver in global economic recovery (UN)
World Bank, IMF, and Morgan Stanley praise India’s resilience 🌍
Meanwhile, the Leader of Opposition calls it “dead” 💬
We may have challenges—but is this the right way to talk about our country?
I personally feel this kind of language damages India’s image globally.
🇮🇳 Criticism is fine—but calling India’s economy “dead”?
📉 Or is this just a political narrative without data?
Let’s rise above politics and stand by facts 💡

🎥 Can gearless EVs still simulate shifting? Yes—through mechanical field weakening. 🔧 Watch this video as we deep dive into how air gap control mimics transmission-like behavior in electric motors. 🧐 💡
Let us first define field-weakening in Motor Control 👇
Field-weakening achieves higher motor speed when lower torque is acceptable, used in automation applications, and traction motor control for electric vehicles and locomotives.
There are two types of field-weakening controls: Electronic and Mechanical field-weakening control.
⚡️ Electronic Field-Weakening
🎯 Achieved through complex inverter controls.
🎯 Creates the "constant power" region of an electric motor's output curve.
🎯 Common in permanent magnet motors, with similar horsepower and torque curves at various magnitudes.
Advantages 👍 of electronic field weakening is that there are no moving parts but the disadvantages 👎🏽 are its associated electronic losses.
⚡️ Mechanical Field-Weakening:
Easier to visualize and implement in certain motor designs, like radial and axial flux motors.
🎯 Radial Flux Motor (Outrunner Style):
- The rotor sits outside the stator.
- Moving the stator away from the rotor reduces magnetism, decreasing torque but increasing speed.
🎯 Axial Flux Motor
- Consists of two disks with an air gap.
- High torque results in a strong force pulling the disks together.
- Mechanical field weakening requires axial movement of the rotor or stator to adjust the air gap while maintaining rigidity.
👍 Advantages of mechanical field weakening is High efficiency, popular in competitive efficiency races (e.g., Japan's "Econo Power" races).
👎🏽Disadvantages are High cost, complexity, and mechanical challenges.
Potential of Mechanical Systems: 📈 💡
Theoretically, mechanical field-weakening systems can continuously adjust the air gap to tailor motor characteristics.
Similar to how a continuously variable transmission (CVT) works, offering versatility in different operating conditions.
If you want an EV with a gearing shifting experience, this mechanical field-weakening system will certainly be a good fit.
⚙️ Can mechanical field-weakening become viable for mass-market EVs, despite its complexity?
Or will it remain limited to niche applications like racing or prototypes?
