Hi! Welcome to the channel where I overthink and ask stupid questions about movies – both old and current; all while occasionally giving behind-the-scenes information about certain movies, books, and people.

I chose “RaisedVintage” because I grew up on old shows, movies, and books. Inspiration for the name came from when I was talking to a friend of my dad’s, and Marvin the Martian from Looney Tunes came up. The friend asked if I knew who that was and I replied, “Yes, I was raised vintage.”

I agree with many of these points.

Maximus won't shut up about how much he loves his family and how much he wants to go home, but he obviously has a history with Lucilla (and its proven in Gladiator 2, which I found so weird. I didn't see the unneeded sequel, but I did see the trailer)

If I remember correctly, they filmed without a complete script and in this case it showed. For me, the movie was all over the place. I still enjoyed it, just not as much as I was expecting.

I kind of thought it would've been interesting if the movie was an ancient Roman murder mystery of Maximus trying to figure out who killed the Emperor. The movie could possibly still play the way it does and Commodus can still try to execute Maximus and his family when Maximus gets too close to discovering the truth, and Maximus and still end up in the arena.

Maybe just me, but I can't see Ryan Gosling working in the Star Wars universe. No offense, but neither him or Shawn Levy is somebody I would've picked to do something Star Wars related
