'Ello all! My name is Kayla, welcome to my YouTube channel. I am a first-generation student currently working on an interdisciplinary humanities PhD. I am a PhD candidate focusing on two tracks: public history and digital humanities. My current research examines feminist archives- literary, historical, gaming, fan-made, and more. To quote Vernon Lee, I have "the sense of being companioned by the past."
In addition to being a PhD candidate, I'm also an avid reader, gamer, writer- and whole slew of other things. On this channel, you'll find my scholarly musings, a love of books, games, and more!

'Ello all! I hope the week is treating you well thus far. I wanted to pop on and give a quick update- I will have a new vlog up Sunday! It has been a hectic couple of weeks with the start of the term, but I am excited to be getting into a routine and including vlogging in that. Hello lovely people! I posted a new video today, which I have linked below. I took a day to 'refill my glass' so to speak, and that meant spending some time gaming! However, it did not turn out quite like I thought it would. But I had a lot of fun editing this and hope to do more gaming-related videos in the future with some history thrown in. Feel free to recommend some games that might be of interest in the comments!
