After finishing her psychology book, my eldest daughter is moving straight to her next passion: Human Biology (15th Edition by Sylvia S. Mader & Michael Windelspecht, published by McGraw-Hill Education).
Biology and psychology have always been her favorite subjects, so watching her dive into this comprehensive textbook with so much excitement is pure joy.
She takes her time to truly understand every single detail, and I couldn't be prouder of her dedication to learning.

Finally, my eldest daughter finished reading this book! It’s been a long journey, from August 2024 to July 2026. While my second child has already powered through four books in two years, she was still working on this single one.
At first, I was confused. Why was it taking her over a year to finish? When I asked her, she explained her process. Turns out, she kept re-reading! Even after reaching a quarter or halfway through, she would start all over again from the beginning.
She did this because she wanted to truly understand every single topic. If she forgot a previous chapter, she’d loop back so everything stayed connected in her mind.
Once I understood, I didn't want to rush her at all. It’s about deep learning, not speed. Alhamdulillah, this Psychology book (written in Indonesian language) is finally completed. Now, on to the next book she’s been planning to read for a long time!
Remember a few months ago when I posted about my third-born skipping ahead to try writing numbers at age 3? Well, her enthusiasm hasn’t stopped there. She is back with another amazing surprise!
Just like the first time, this happened completely behind the scenes. She was playing quietly on her own while I was busy with chores. No cameras, no recording, just her, lost in her own little world of play.
Then, out of nowhere, I heard: "Mommy, look at this!" 😍
I turned around to find her drawing board filled with these letters! She is 4 now, and after fully mastering alphabet recognition, her curiosity took over once again. I haven't officially taught her how to write letters yet, as our plan was to keep focusing on pre-writing shapes. But her eager little hands couldn’t wait! Just by observing and her own self-motivation, she tried writing the letters from A to Z entirely on her own.
I’m so glad I could at least capture this quick photo of her masterpiece. It’s a beautiful reminder that the best learning often happens in those quiet, uninterrupted moments of independent play.

Setelah menamatkan buku perang dunia 1 dan 2 yang berbahasa Indonesia, Tausaro masih ingin membaca buku tentang perang dunia tapi yang berbahasa Inggris.
Terlihat jelas putraku ingin mendalami Perang Dunia dan punya minat sejarah juga seperti Bundanya.

My third born is deep into number sense (mastered rote counting 1-20, rational counting is still a work in progress). The official plan was to hold off on writing numbers for a few months until her rational counting was perfect. But her enthusiasm couldn't wait! She decided to skip ahead! ✍️🤩
My husband told me that she asked him to write 1-20 because she wanted to see how to write it. Just by observing Daddy during numbers playtime, my toddler tried to write numbers 1 to 20!
Masya Allah! The best motivation for parents is seeing their children's enthusiasm. 🥰
Considering her current pre-writing lessons haven't even touched curves yet, this is pretty amazing. She is good enough to write numbers 0, 1, 2, 3, 5, and 7; she needs more practice on 4, 6, 8, and 9.
In syaa Allah, when it's officially time to learn number writing, it will be so much easier for her! ❤️
Kacua sudah selesai mewarnai dua buku yang bunda belikan. Beberapa krayon juga sudah patah dan beberapa juga sudah pendek. Akhirnya, Bunda belikan lagi satu set krayon baru dan sembilan buku mewarnai bertema.
Krayon baru Kacua lebih baik dari yang sebelumnya. Lebih cocok untuk balita karena mudah dipegang, tidak mengotori tangan, tekstur halus di kertas, dan warnanya lebih cerah.
Buku mewarnai yang bunda beli ini memiliki tema berbeda. Bunda beli 9 jadi temanya ada 9. Kesembilan tema tersebut diantaranya adalah buah-buahan, sayuran, makanan, hewan darat, hewan laut, kendaraan, perabot rumahan, pemandangan alam, dan pakaian.
Aktivitas mewarnai merupakan aktivitas yang sangat sederhana tapi banyak manfaat. Bukan cuma anak-anak, bunda juga suka aktivitas mewarnai.
Mewarnai itu membuat hati senang dan tenang lho. Juara!
Eksperimen Menghasilkan Listrik dari Energy Terbarukan
Kami sedang belajar tentang perubahan energi. Perubahan energi dari listrik ke energi lain bisa diajarkan melalui benda-benda eletronik yang biasa digunakan.
Namun, jika membahas perubahan energi dari energi satu ke listrik, maka kita sedang membahas pembangkit listrik. Ini adalah kesempatan agar anak-anak mengetahui juga darimana dan bagaimana listrik dihasilkan.
Oleh karena itu, saya membeli tiga peraga pembangkit listrik yang ketiganya merupakan energi terbarukan yakni energi matahari, angin, dan air.
Alhamdulillah, setelah belajar perubahan energi melalui tiga model pembangkit listrik energi terbarukan, anak-anak saya sudah memiliki gambaran bagaimana dan darimana listrik dihasilkan selain kegunaan listrik itu sendiri. Alhamdulillah.
In syaa Allah, beberapa energy yang menghasilkan listrik, seperti biomassa, panas bumi, batubara, dan lainnya akan dipelajari di tahap selanjutnya.

Buku Mewarnai dan Krayon Baru untuk Kacua
