Cursed Belt Tapestry Blueprint Book released! Contains everything from the video + improvements + YOUR ideas! 2nd channel does NOT refuse to elaborate! --> https://youtu.be/NuMLWEtYC1A Blueprint book can be found on discord or under the video link above!
At the moment I have no intentions of editing this full playthrough (which is available as a livestream on my second channel) into a condensed format, but I did edit down the opening sequence in a 15 minute test video. I'm still on mostly-holiday, warptorio will resume either next week or the week thereafter depending on how long the episode gets. Anyway, if you've come to the channel looking to see if there is a new video (as youtube doesn't really promote these posts I think), enjoy this hidden video!
Don't worry, Warptorio's Warpzone 6 is coming next week! But there's no time for sadness, because you can now watch my very first stream of Krastorio2 DeathWorld, which has finally made it to the all NEW and unimproved LIVE channel:
Here I will upload all my unedited twitch streams, like the current Nuclear Warptorio run, but starting with the Krastorio2 DeathWorld run (It's incomplete, but I still have the 7h opening stream, but then it cuts to the vanilla-like endgame 25h in the game, but the entire post-rocket Krastorio extended endgame with all the new science and such is complete, and, even with just vanilla factorio knowledge, very followable as a stand-alone watch).
The channel is currently still empty as I want to upload the streams in order, which means I'm glueing together some separately saved partial streams due to early disconnects. It will take some overnights to export the glued together stream videos and upload them.
Anyway, if you want to watch the streams at your own pace or like some background material, subscribe to my LIVE channel as well 🙂
I've been doing a Krastorio2 DeathWorld (+Armoured Biters) stream on www.twitch.tv/mikehendi , where I tried to peacefully co-exist with the biters (yes, on aggressive DeathWorld, not on peaceful mode!). Most of the early streams have been lost to time already,
but with Krastorio following the general flow of vanilla Factorio with an extended endgame added to it, Part 7 or 8 are GREAT moments to jump in and watch the VODs, continuing the endgame from around the rocket launch moment you know from vanilla.
Sorry not to let you know sooner, it originally started as a low-stakes "tryout stream" on a new platform, and I didn't come prepared with enough knowledge and a vod channel, but in the end it was a great experience and I finished the playthrough in great style ;)
I'll give a quick description of the gameflow up to part 7:
Krastorio2 on the pure DeathWorld preset meant a hard opening, as the simple gun turret technology is not readily accessible, meaning no defense is possible. After nomading around, we got around to building a "starter" base which was originally meant to get me through basic/red/green/mili/blue tech, but due to the way krastorio changes the recipes, introducing new recources and processes instead of high bulk good requirements, the main bus "starter base" turned out to be easily viable for purple/yellow science as well, and perhaps will be viable all the way to the end!
Around the 12th hour we unlocked pollution filters, krastorio's gimmick which allowed me to try the peaceful living with biters strategy. From that point on, we killed as few biters as possible and even let the biters expand freely whereever they decide to settle, even IN my base!
Living together WITH the biters, we carefully kept expanding the base and eventualy got to the "vanilla endgame" point, preparing and launching the first rocket. Let the Krastorio Endgame begin!
Part 7 is a shorter stream where we actually achieve the first rocket launch and build a new nuclear reactor.
PART 8 IS MY RECOMMENDATION TO JUMP IN! as this was a fun, high paced stream where we got through 3 of the 4 new endgame tech cards (science packs) in a single sitting!
Part 9 covers the final (and most expensive!) tech card: singularity tech, and the playhtough comes to it's epic conclusion.
I know livestreams are only interesting to a smaller portion of my audience, but since there is no warptorio video this week, I though you might enjoy these instead.
If you DO like livestreams, give me a follow over there, I'm not sure what the next project will be, but I'm thinking about doing a "real warptorio run", where we actually MUST defend the platform or we die!
1) Artillery Carnage! (Ultimate DeathWorld #23) the next episode of the Ultimate DeathWorld Challenge and the long awaited Pay-It-Forward-Revenge Attack of Pure Destruction!!! (and "Secrets Revealed (#24)" will be in early access from upcoming friday!)
2) Is it possible to beat Factorio with Absolutely Very Normal Settings? (and 1 teeny tiny mod...), Very Normal Settings indeed, nothing to see here please move along... It will be a week or 2 before the full 30+ min first episode of this project hits the YooToobz... But an 8-minute preview revealing the concept and very first steps is already available on Patreon!
Look at me, promoting myself... I must admit, it feels a little weird, trying to tempt you to join Patreon instead of quietly letting everyone decide for themselves without this "promotion" stuff... But I guess I'm about 3/4 of the way there to try and go full-time, so I guess I'd better try to get comfortable with it now, before I'll be fully financially dependant on it!
So there, do it! Join the $3/month Patreon tier for 7 days early access to my weekly episodes, as well as random bits of extra content, random sprouts of inside information and background thoughts, access to the discord, and the knowledge you're supporting small individual creators doing what they love to do most!
Also available are Access to Save Games ($5 tier), and your name in the credits ($10 tier). Can't or don't want to join? That's fine too, just leaving a comment on my videos after watching is greatly appreciated in itself as well, be it praise or constructive critisism (I love reading all your comments and I try to reply to as much as possible).
Thanks everyone for sticking around to the end of this series... We're slowly getting there!
This is a surprise side project I have got mostly recorded (but not edited) by now. You may see it was uploaded 4 months ago, but has been a hidden video ever since. I had to choose between this "Indestructible Biter Bases" project and "the Ultimate Deathworld Challenge", leading to this project being postponed.
I'm not planning on starting this series just yet, but hey, why not get a sneak preview this week, when there's no other video to watch on my channel. I'm still working on episode 20, which will become a 35-40 minute grand finale of the 2nd "epoch" (After the first epoch "LotB: the Fellowship of the Iron", ep20 now finally concludes "LotB: The Two Expansions", and ep21-3x will ultimately become "LotB: the Return of the Engineer").
While I do prefer to publish every friday wthout skips, this ep20 finale was just not really divisible into 2 logical parts, so while I'm sorry there's no video this week, I hope the Expansione Finale Grandiose will make up for it next week!
I plan to do a blind playthrough with the Rampant biters mod,
I had a look at the mod settings and it seems there are 2 main ways to play:
1) Rampant AI on the default biters (add in armored biters) (This is similar to Dosh Doshington's playthrough for those who have seen it, for those who haven't, go watch it!)
2) Rampant AI, but replace the default biters by rampant's own enemy types (a wide variety of factions all with different strengths and weaknesses, like fast biters, brutal biters (high physical resistance), fire-resistant biters, niclear biters [wtf! I'm scared now lol],etc.). I assume some factions will be part of the evolution process, but still this sounds much harder, maybe unsuitable for a first attempt?
I plan to play on a desert-type, no-cheesing-settings deathworld map to experience the full glory and wrath of death and destruction... (probably my own lol)
The playthrough is gonna be as blind as possible, for video I only saw Dosh's playthrough, and I've read some random small spoilers in comments, so try to avoid spoiling me more ;)
I do understand performance can be an issue especially with rampant's replacement enemy types, so I've already decided on the following settings: - Disabled blood particles (settings even warn you of lag spikes for this one) - Decreased corpse fade time - Will play without cliffs to not further strain biter pathing calculations
For all rampant veterans, any other tips to improve performance and/or avoid technical roadblocks down the road are welcome, as well as possible other mods to add (like armored biters). Please share your thoughts in the comments!
Relive the whole story up until this point in one uninterrupted sitting! I'll be casually present in the chat for having a laugh and answering eventual questions. Watch the epilogue-trailer, which is also the intro to next week's 30 minute episode! Hope to see you saturday 09:00 CEST!
Be there, or be square!
All the best! Michael
PS: so there will not be a full regular episode this week. I can produce about 15 minutes of this high-effort type of content per week. Last week's episode was 30+ min, and upcoming week's episode wil be 30+ min too. In general (and as popularly requested), with the tendency for the episodes being longer, it seems likely that there will be some gap weeks going forward. I DO post weekly uploads of whatever part of the new episode is finished on Patreon though, but naturally on YouTube episodes should be complete and fully finished before publishing. Hope you understand!

For all regular viewers:
I've been including the end of the previous episode at the start of the new one, as a way to get back into the story.
However, there have been a handful of mostly negative comments about this, so I'd like your opinion about wheter or not to keep including it. Thanks!
