Omg we made it to 300 subscribers, and as of yesterday, 22 of you guys have also subscribed as well!!! I didn’t realize you guys would enjoy the bloopers so much! When I was editing the video I felt a little disappointed at some of the bloopers I had since I deleted a lot of them, so I’m happy you all liked the ones I had left.

In one of my old tweets I said that my goal for the end of the year is to hit 250 subs. It’s actually insane that we surpassed that and now have hit 300 subscribers! I think my new goal for the end of the year might be 550 subscribers! I think it will be challenging but potentially doable.

I’m happy to have found such amazing people to discuss international affairs with! As current global affairs continues to grow and evolve, I am happy to discover that so many of you all are interested in learning about these concepts and theories. It’s been wonderful to meet so many of you all who are either completely new to this subject or have vast amounts of experience in this field already. I am happy to have learned many things from you all as I continue my studies.

Sorry for not posting yesterday! Weirdly enough I got roped into a performance and was only a given a week to memorize the script. Apparently me saying maybe to participating in something was me actually giving my full support. Alrighty, guys!

I definitely didn't expect us to be closing in on 300 subscribers this soon, so now I'm sitting here wondering what to do next. Thank you all so much for helping us reach over 290 subscribers! Since we're getting so close to 300, that means it's POLL TIME!

Also, you may have noticed that I've been stepping up my editing game a little bit. It's still a work in progress, but I've been experimenting with new ideas to see what works and what doesn't. I also bought a new background to use in my videos, so let me know what you think! If you like it, I'll definitely keep using it.

Lastly, I have a funny story to share.

This morning, I woke up to a little mean DM on TikTok. For about one second, I was actually a little offended, until I clicked on the sender's profile. Between the username, the anime profile picture, and the posts, I realized there was only one person who would send me something like that.

It was my older brother.

He's always been a jokester, and I guess that hasn't changed.

He was actually the first person in my family that I felt comfortable telling about my adventure into VTubing, so it makes me really happy to know he's supporting me as I start this journey. Hopefully one day I can convince him to appear in one of my Shorts so you all can meet him too!

In all seriousness, though, if it wasn't for his constant support and encouragement throughout my life, I probably never would have started VTubing or a lot of the other things I've been passionate about. It means a lot that as we work our way toward 300 subscribers, he'll get to see the amazing little community we're building together.

I was talking to my teacher and we were speaking in another language (one that I am not fluent it and I won't tell you what it is cause I'm embarrassed of my skill level) and she asked me what I do when I am not doing homework or sleeping. I told her I make videos on international affairs and try to teach concepts or theories. She then proceeded to ask me if I am a teacher and I didn't have the vocabulary to explain making TikToks or Shorts so I just kinda said yeah.

Now everyday she asks me how my students are doing and I tell her about you all.

Anything you want me to tell her on behalf of you all? She's curious!!!

Hey guys!

I just wanted to say thank you so much for all the kind messages on my latest short where I talked about my voice. It really means a lot to me. That video was supposed to be a funny story to share with you all, and I hope it came across that way. But after posting it, I realized that a lot of things from my past, and even now, still affect me more than I thought.

Growing up, I was often criticized for my voice by all kinds of people: strangers, classmates, friends, and even family. I was told my voice was too high, too annoying, or that I didn't sound the way I was supposed to. When I was little, I struggled with both speech and language, so I was placed in speech therapy to help develop those skills. Because of that, I've always felt like speaking doesn't come naturally to me, and I still stumble over my words more often than I'd like.

Another part of it is that I spent a lot of my childhood living in different places, so I don't speak the way people from my culture typically do. That made me feel out of place for a long time because I was often teased for it.

Even now, when I record shorts or even in everyday life, I catch myself trying to make my voice sound lower to avoid comments about it. Ironically, that usually makes my voice sound more neutral, and I've been mistaken for a boy multiple times because of it, even though I'm a girl.

Over time, my voice has become one of my biggest insecurities. Looking back at yesterday's short, I realized that probably showed more than I intended. I'm sorry if this sounds a little dramatic, I just wanted to be honest before I continue making more content. You've probably already noticed me stumbling over words or making little mistakes in my shorts, so thank you for being patient with me.

More than anything, I just want to thank you all for your kindness and support. It genuinely means so much, and I still can't believe we're almost at 220 subscribers. Thank you for being here. ❤️
