Its genuinely disgusting how much AI slop has overrun social media. I just want to look at funny memes and laugh and maybe god forbid learn something, but I'm constantly bombarded by AI scams and fake AI BS and I don't even know what is real or not anymore, it's almost like a mild AI psychosis. Is anyone else losing their minds about it as much as me?
I've always been a strong optimist about the power of technology to make people's lives better, including AI, but its easy to see why so many people have become so disillusioned about tech like AI in a free-market dystopia where it's just allowed to poison our brains without any restriction or regulation. The future just feels so unimaginably bleak in so many ways, and even the internet isn't a nice escape anymore but rather just a further reflection of the bleakness of reality.

I will neither support the repressive Islamic theocracy in Iran that mass-executes and persecutes socialists, women and queers, nor support American-led attempts at regime change against said theocracy.
It's really not hard to simply operate in factual reality and stop coping that either the ISLAMIC REPUBLIC of Iran is actually a good entity or that regime change in Iran would make things any better. Simple fact is that Iran is pretty screwed either way for the time being, but regime change would only make things worse.

It seems a bit too on the nose that a professor from the "Henry Kissinger Center" is the person that writes about how the Soviet Union wanted to 'run the world'.

I was interested in reading a book on the death of paganism called ‘Silence of the Gods’ until I read a review saying that the book disparages pagans in comparison to Christians and more or less presents the death of paganism as a positive good. Based on previous experience, I instantly assumed that the author of the book was a Christian. Sure enough, continuing the consistent pattern of all these supposedly neutral ‘academics’ downplaying the pagan genocide and demonizing pagans, his website makes clear that he is an active and devout member of the Church: drfrancisyoung.com/about/
Christians and religious folk generally should not be easily trusted when it comes to writing about their own religious history as they are provably not remotely neutral or interested in the true facts of the past, and yet remain a highly dominant force in modern academia. They are usually propagandists for their religion first and foremost, and they exist everywhere in the highest echelons of academia to this day, which is why they must be fought back against in order to portray history as it actually happened.

I'm publishing an excerpt from my upcoming book! This one is titled "Non-Believers: The Most Under-Acknowledged Persecuted Group" and explores the historic persecution of non-believers by Christians in Medieval Europe, a reality that is constantly downplayed and/or lied about by historians still today:

I’m nearing the completion of the first draft of the first in my three book series history of ‘The West’, one of the most taxing and challenging feats I’ve ever done. Unlike with my first book, I’m asking for help this time for beta readers (maybe multiple) for my new book. You will be recognized in the acknowledgments section and receive a free copy of the book. If interested, message me on discord with any relevant credentials (though none are required for consideration).

I really don’t care about AI ‘taking jobs’. I care about the fact that you need a 40 hour per week job to survive in the first place. In an ideal society, AI *would* take jobs while at the same time leaving the people with more free time to pursue their own interests as a result.
Mechanization in the Soviet Union was so rapid and successful that farmers would have nothing to do in the fields and so they just got paid to sit around and shoot the shit. This was framed in the Soviet Union as a problem by critics but it shouldn’t be. Having more time to just shoot the shit or pursue your passions should be the whole point!

Get you or someone you love a gift this Christmas with a copy of my book on the USSR, which goes further than any work in vindicating the positive historical legacy of the USSR and exposing the extensive propaganda networks that have demonized and lied about it throughout its history (and/or get a cool graphic or mug to rep your socialist beliefs). The book and everything else on the site is 50% off until Christmas day:
