no offence/hate to SPORE2 but some messages can come across as a bit harsh toward people with different music tastes 🙏

1. music rankings and reviews are mostly subjective, so it can feel a bit harsh to link someone’s personal opinion, especially one you just disagree with, to them being a “bad” ranker.

2. we get that you may not agree with afire’s music taste but calling it intentional ragebait just because it includes a hot take or an opinion you disagree with can come across as a little unfair.

3. it can start to feel less like a discussion about the content itself and more like a personal attack when someone is called “overrated” or “annoying” just because of their music preferences.

4. someone can prefer mainstream music over experimental stuff — and that’s completely okay, a lot of people in the NCS and ranking communities feel that way, so it’s not really fair to treat that preference as inferior or illegitimate when it’s just a different personal taste.

again, no hate to SPORE2 — i really like that you’re helping promote underrated and unique ncs songs through your opinions and playlists, and i’m glad you’re doing that. i just think it would be better to avoid putting down people who simply have different music tastes, especially those who enjoy the classic 2015–16 festival house vibe more than newer niche or experimental styles.

let’s keep the peace, guys, and try to appreciate everyone’s music preferences instead of turning it into an argument all the time 🎀🕊️✨
