Let’s talk about Round 5 of NCS vs Monstercat, because the double standard and performative hate right now is wild.

Most of the community doesn't seem to realize that "NCS Greatest Hits Mashup" is not a mashup release even though the name of the track contains the word "Mashup".
People see the word "Mashup" in the title and immediately jump to conclusions without actually listening to the structure of the track. Let’s break down the facts:

→ Title vs. Reality (Framing Bias)
Because Thorne and Templr didn't give the song a fancy, conceptual name, people immediately assumed it was just a low-effort DJ blend of old tracks. It isn't.

→ The Tracks Have the Exact Same Structural DNA
Both entries for Round 5 followed the same concept:

1. Interconnected uses original drops, custom vocals, and heavy samples/interpolations from classic Monstercat tracks.

2. NCS Greatest Hits Mashup uses original drops, vocal chops, and flipped samples/chords from 28+ classic NCS releases.

Both tracks feature original production and original drops built around label samples.

If you're hating on the NCS entry purely because of the word "Mashup" in the title, you're missing the entire point of a Tag Team / Mega Collab round. Both teams delivered insane homage tracks with original drops. Dislike the genre or style if it's not your vibe, but stop pretending one team put in work and the other didn't.

And honestly, if you're going to keep hating on the NCS entry for using heavy samples, then by your own logic, you should start hating on Interconnected too—because it relies on the exact same concept of heavy label sampling. You can't call one an 'original masterpiece' and the other a 'lazy mashup' when they used the same formula.

Respect the effort Thorne, Templr, and the NCS staff put into flipping 28+ tracks into original drops. 🔥

Okay this is seriously annoying and irritating, I'm done being silent. I never expected to get disrespected at such lengths all because of a simple tierlist ranking and all because of a certain person who couldn't handle an "opinion".

The performative outrage, emotional guilt-tripping, and complete rewriting of community rules over a basic content tier list have reached a point that cannot be ignored.

1. This Amethyst person, I don't know what's wrong with her. I guess she is really insecure reading by her "youtube bio".
---> When I placed Togeth in the "Overrated" tier, Amethyst dropped a comment stating: "I have no words, unbelievable."
---> Guilt-tripping a ranker and framing a subjective rating as an "unbelievable" offense is not a "polite, good-faith question"—it is emotional pressure designed to make the ranker feel guilty for their opinion.
---> Leaving the community while claiming "drama over comments" and painting herself as an "angelic soul" being driven out is a classic victim card. You cannot publicly express outrage over someone’s subjective list, get called out for guilt-tripping, and then act shocked when people hold you accountable for what you wrote.

And the way she's getting over-glazed right now is just crazy.

2. Next is Togeth, he's the sole reason as to why this escalated so much into this.
Togeth jumped in to validate Amethyst’s exit, framing her as an "angelic little sister" and treating a tier list placement as if it were a traumatic event. But let's look at Togeth’s own record when it comes to tier lists:
---> When Togeth posted his own tier list, his caption explicitly stated: "I didn't want to include people I'm either neutral about, or those I don't like."
---> By his own logic, Togeth publicly excluded creators he "didn't like" without giving a single explanation. Nobody cornered him, nobody called him toxic, and nobody demanded a public essay—the community respected his right to an opinion.
---> Demanding that I justify putting Togeth in "Overrated" while he freely excludes people he dislikes without justification is a blatant double standard.

3. The biggest narrative being pushed by both Amethyst and Togeth is that placing Togeth in the same tier as Marsoc is a personal insult.

I'm going to repeat it again:

---> A tier list evaluates content output, community attention, and hype metrics—it is not a moral character award.
---> Placing two creators under an "Overrated" metric simply means both receive more community attention than their actual content output warrants. It does not mean they are equal as human beings, nor is it a character attack. Pretending a content rating is a threat to personal safety or emotional well-being is completely dishonest.

4. When Yuki faced backlash for her ratings, NPKF members wrote extensive public posts establishing a clear rule:
---> ASingleBeam: "A rating is not a scientific measurement... Let her rate songs the way she wants and move on without turning every unpopular ranking into another huge drama."
---> RedGalaxy: "It's her opinion at the end of the day... if you have a problem with that, keep it to yourself... Tastes differ, live with it."
---> Yuki: "My ratings are simply my own personal taste... I shouldn't have to write an entire breakdown for every single score just to prove my opinion is valid."

You cannot write public guidelines defending one ranker's right to unfiltered subjective taste, only to drop those same principles the moment a friend gets placed in "Overrated." Public standards apply to everyone equally—not just when it is convenient for your circle.

I am an independent ranker. I evaluate content based on my own subjective metrics, exactly as every other ranker in this community does. Disagreeing with a tier list placement is fine, but using emotional manipulation, guilt-tripping, and victim narratives to pressure rankers breaks the exact principles this community was built on.

​I stand by my tier list, I stand by my logic, and I will not apologize for holding the same freedom of opinion that everyone else enjoys.

I will not ignore the amount of disrespect and pressure I have received in my own channel under my own comment section because of this and I will continue demanding accountability, I'm not backing down.

Now time to show you evidence as people are just itching to call me "Anti NPKF/Part of the Tag Team"

I've placed the screenshots of several NPKF members who showed support to Yuki during the 0/10 dramas and I've also showed Yuki's own post as well.

I'm also going to disclose what Amethyst said in my comment section, she's definitely emotional baiting a bit too much.

Now you may be asking me that "m0ncharie, why are you comparing Yuki's 0/10 drama with this one?"

The comparison isn't about whether a 0/10 rating is the exact same thing as an 'Overrated' tier placement—it’s about the fundamental rule governing rankers and subjective opinions in this community.

---> During Yuki's situation, NPKF members publicly established a clear statement: rankers have total freedom over their subjective rankings, they do not owe anyone a public breakdown or justification for their taste, and people should not turn unpopular rankings into public drama.

---> ​You cannot champion 'freedom of opinion and no justifications needed' when it defends one ranker's ratings, but then completely throw those rules out the window and demand justifications the second a friend ends up in an 'Overrated' tier.

---> Referencing Yuki's situation isn't comparing the ratings themselves—it's holding this community to its own written standards of consistency and fairness.

Since you all want an answer from me for putting Togeth in the "overrated tier" and in the very same tier with Marsoc a.k.a "a community villain" in ‪@ASingleBeam-fluderaurore2566‬'s tierlist ranking template.

​Let’s address this here instead of getting swept up in emotional drama

​1. This is purely a double standard on subjective opinions. When Yuki gave songs a 0/10 on her ranking uploads, NPKF made it very clear that rankers are entitled to their subjective opinions without owing the community detailed justifications or endless explanations. Demanding that I defend or justify my subjective placement of Togeth on a tier list is a complete double standard. Either community members are allowed to rate and rank content freely, or they aren't—you don't get to switch the rules based on who is being ranked.

​2. A tier list is an evaluation of content, hype, and community attention—it is not a moral judge of character or a list of who is a 'good person' versus a 'bad person.'

---> ​Togeth is in that tier purely based on my subjective evaluation of community hype versus content output.

---> ​Marsoc is in that tier because the community feeds him endless free attention, reaction posts, and bandwidth for ragebaiting when he should simply be ignored.

​Placing two people under an 'Overrated' label means both receive more hype/attention than their actual output warrants. It does not mean they are equal as human beings, nor is it an attack on Togeth's character or past actions.

Togeth can also put me under the "mid"/"bad" tier and I wouldn't complain obviously because it's his opinion and I would gladly respect it and move on instead of playing the "victim card" in the comment section.

​3. Turning a basic content evaluation into a public spectacle about personal loyalty or character attacks is just performative drama. You can respect someone personally while still holding a neutral, objective view of their content output. Expecting every independent ranker to structure their tier lists around personal relationships or community rivalries isn't realistic.
​I’m entitled to my rankings just as anyone else in this community is. If you disagree with the tier list, that's completely fine—that's how subjective rankings work. But let's stop pretending a content tier list is a character attack.

Now you maybe asking "m0ncharie where's your proof?"

Well I did present my evidence under here in the images where Yuki herself said that she's not obliged to give reasonings every single time and several NPKF members have shown her immense support including Togeth himself. I've also shown a few examples of NPKF members supporting her in their own posts.
