Now that the Moroccan Agates are all polished up, I am taking pictures and i used filtered UV light (long wave and short wave) for giggles.
I'm also using my S25Ultra for pictures since I was too lazy to figure out the settings on my Canon.
Eventually I'll figure out the settings for it.
But this works.

Rock therapy was much needed today. It's something I had to do anyway before buttoning up a box to go out but this little fella turned out okay.
Not an A grade polish...it say a solid B- or C plus due to some learning curves.

Material: Aquamarine
Location: Northern Cape, South Africa

Lapidary notes:
Dont use carbide belts unless you have a swear jar handy.
I tried high speed and my expanding belts. Was very ineffective.
Dont use cerium.

I managed to get a passing polish with nova wheels on my cabbing machine and aluminum oxide on my mini carpet pad on my angle grinder.

Edit:
The interest rate is 10.99%.
They are gaslighting me on the phone saying the representative told me about how the charges worked when I signed up.
They didnt.
Even when I sat in the chair with the shed company salesman - even he didnt say anything.

They didnt tell me that interest would accrue as soon as I signed the loan because it was told to me that I wouldnt have to make a payment until the project was deemed "completed" and everything passed.
When the payments of $630 started, I figured "cool...we can get things rolling".
Nope. The initial interest rate from April of last year to the beginning of this year had to be paid first.
Which was a shock to me.
After that amount was paid...I figured we would be back on track.
Nope again.

I called and they started to say that the first year goes towards a a large interest chunk and that is something that was never told to me.
Even their statements dont have a breakdown of what is going where.
They said someone told me about it and I told them that nobody said a single thing to me about it.
Its not right. Not int the slightest and its borderline theft in my book.

The company is Upgrade. I never heard of them until the shed process started.
I would have rather used my bank but the bank wouldnt loan that high of amount without an equal amount on collateral. Which...aside from rocks...i dont have.

It's been a busy couple days. I am packing today and things will be going out as soon as I can get it all packaged up.
I am taking pictures and videos of the polyhedroid halves that all got adopted with regular lighting, short wave and long wave UV lights...and I'm having to get creative since I cant find the timer on my phone camera and also having to use my toe to turn on and off the lights.
(Picture of foot not included - that cost extra 😏)

In addition, i had to seal up the fish from the other weekend and clean up the trilobite that is going out.

Then had a delivery of Uline boxes today....im grateful they are quick for delivery.

African rocks also came yesterday :)

Cut and unpolished Poly Slices this weekend. They will be $5/gram. I will offer them for a couple weeks at that price.
Afterwards, prices will go up as i will start adding them to my project board for polishing at my own leisure.

I also have halves that I am currently polishing. Fingers crossed I can get those done before the weekend.

Quantities are very limited for these rare agates.

I would have bought more for you all but even getting loan limited how much I could save from their tumbler destination.
