1️⃣ Interest rates matter more than fear
Gold doesn’t pay interest.
When markets expect higher rates, money moves to bonds & cash instead → gold falls.

2️⃣ Strong dollar = weak gold
Right now, investors are rushing into the US dollar.
A stronger dollar makes gold expensive globally → demand drops.

3️⃣ Inflation isn’t helping (this time)
Oil prices ↑ → inflation fears ↑
But that also means rate hikes ↑
👉 Rate hikes hurt gold more than inflation helps it.

4️⃣ “Sell everything” phase
In market crashes, investors sell whatever they can to raise cash — including gold.
