Benefits of Using Moringa for Laying Birds

From my own experience in poultry farming, I have observed that the frequent use of some commercial drugs caused serious problems in my laying birds. The birds developed bleeding from the anus, which led to other birds pecking them until they became weak or died, resulting in high mortality.

However, when I stopped using commercial drugs and instead washed moringa leaves and added them to the birds’ drinking water, everything changed:

✅ Bleeding stopped completely
✅ No more vent pecking
✅ Zero mortality recorded
✅ Egg sizes increased noticeably
✅ Birds became more active and healthy

I honestly don’t understand why a poultry farmer would spend money setting up a BSF farm to produce maggots, when your own birds’ poop can naturally produce maggots you can use to feed your fish 👉 at zero cost.

Some people even spend over ₦200k buying 10 tons of brewery waste just to produce maggots, yet the same chicken droppings on your farm can do the exact same thing.

What surprises me the most is seeing people buy black soldier flies, when those flies are already naturally attracted to poultry farms. Every day, I see black flies on my chicken droppings, laying eggs. Those eggs turn into maggots, and I use them to feed my catfish 👉 for free.

Sometimes, the solution is already on the farm. We just need to pay attention.

Don't let people rip you off your hard work.
