If the Lord’s words are used and respected, there will be few or no domestic violence at all.
1. (Ephesians 5:22, 33)Amp. Wives, be subject (i.e. submissive and adapt yourselves ) to your own husbands as ( a service ) to the Lord. This verse did not say that wives should be (enslaved) in their submission to be caused to lose their freedom of choice or action. 2. (v33) However , let each of you (without exception) love his wife as (being in a sense ) his own self. 3. (Gen 2:18) Amp. “Now the Lord God said,”It is not good (i.e. sufficient , satisfactory) that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper meet (meaning OLURANLOWO in Yoruba Language) for him. 4. (1 Cor 11 v 3)Amp .“But I want you to know and realize that Christ is the Head of everyman, the head of the woman is her husband, and the Head of Christ is God. 5. (1 Cor 7 v 5 ) Amp. says,”Do not refuse and deprive and defraud each other (of your due marital rights), except perhaps by mutual consent for a time, so that you may devote yourselves unhindered to prayer. But afterwards resume marital relations, lest satan tempt you (to sin) through your lack of restraints of sexual desire.Apostle Paul in (1 Cor 7 ) tells both wives and husbands that they are not to refuse their spouse sex. In the Greek, he says that refusing is robbing the spouse of something that belongs to them. Consider these few verses, and Domestic Violence will be reduced. ON LOVE IN THE LORD'S EYES:
