German companies may actually benefit from US tariffs in some sectors — at least partially.
Why?
As Dr. Jürgen Ratzinger explains in our interview, 73% of German companies say they were able to pass tariffs on to customers in the US market. In addition, some competitors — especially from China — are facing even higher tariffs.
For highly specialized German companies with strong market positions and technological expertise, this can actually create competitive advantages in certain sectors.
