It's been a hell of a week. I'm exhausted and in a lot of pain. So unboxing TWT's latest bi-monthly (Year 2) was just the treat I needed. ✨

I ain't gettin' paid for this and, if I was, you all know I always keep it real.
We'll get real on some feelings in the next video coming out.

But this latest box really felt like a step up. And a step up, to be clear, doesn't imply anything wasn't good either. We're of the belief, when it comes to making art, to always be improving - even if you're doing well and the demand is there ... keep improving. I like seeing people succeed and I like seeing small businesses succeed. So when I feel I'm getting better, imma call out the goodness. 🥰

What a treat! Video will be out next Sunday, after another Christmas vlog. 🎄

Anywho, I know the holiday season can be really really hard, for so many reasons.

As many of you know, what's shared here in videos may be the joys, creations, and occasional difficult things we creators feel called to share. But it is a portion of our lives, even when true.


Having a space like YT, is something I've longed for so long. Creating, of all kinds (videos, writing, cooking, singing, playing D&D - whatever your outlet), is so healing and I don't know where my mental health would be without it & without you all.

And still, it's been a really difficult (and joy filled, but difficult) season for us.

As I shared with Matt, I don't even know if I can get myself to create a video dedicated to our Jasmine, like I want. It's hit us harder than expected. But that's not all of it.

Sharing because I know so many of you, from what you share in comments to the Discord group, are facing life's challenges this holiday season. Which any time is hard but the holidays can add another layer of 'well everyone seems fine' facade (or maybe they are, but it doesn't mean your fine needs to look like theirs or that you even need to be 'fine').

Just know, your best is enough.
You are not alone.
Feeling all the feelings is normal.

And, as I said in the Discord group today, and I believe deeply - there are no 'shoulds' in life. 'Shoulds' are just other people's fears and boxes put upon you - let them hold those shoulds on their shoulders & you be who you are and do what you need to do to both be yourself & take care of yourself.

I hope my videos (more coming 🎄🔦🦇), my little joys, bring lightness to your day but also reduce any loneliness just a bit.

Thank you for your love, on my most recent post. 🐈‍⬛💔

While this wasn't the Halloween I thought it would be (photo not taken today, as these eyes are much too puffy for that 👻) and I am legit finally getting going at 12 pm, ... if there's one thing I know, and I say it every video (that I remember to 🙃) it's to love what you love with everything you have. I can say I've done that and I'll continue to do that. 🤍🩶🖤

So, while there will be heavy feelings, I will still be watching a marathon of horror movies, and ordering pizza, and going through the bags of food I brought home yesterday to sort my feelings out 😜 (anyone else eat their feelings in food? 🤣), and snuggling with the butthead that is stuck with us (aka Hermione), and probably digitally decluttering my laptop (.... and getting a couple orders in and plans for videos) while I watch.

On the docket today is: Scream, Beetlejuice, Hocus Pocus, Nightmare Before Christmas and I hope a couple more.

We are heartbroken.

This weekend, as I'll discuss in a clip that was recorded before knowing what we learned yesterday, was consumed with worry of signs I was seeing in Jasmine that scared me. Especially as we just went through this four months ago with our sweet Leia.

Those signs moved faster than we realized they would and tonight, we had to say goodbye to our sweet Jasmine. Nearly half our lives were spent with her, and at some point soon - when we can manage, we'll dedicate a video just to her and why she was so special to us. She was our oldest girl, our 'first born,' if you will, and the cat that made me fall in love with cats. I will never know a cat like her. I don't think I can put to words what made her so special. But we'll try, in that video.

I can say, we knew it was the right choice and there was no other choice. And her life was incredibly full, but it doesn't stop from our home and hearts feeling gutted.

We are working hard to get you a Halloween vlog, and I have many an idea for holiday season and at first I thought, how am I going to do that. When you lose someone you love so much, it can feel like nothing else matters. But I think doing what's normal is what matters. Those are all the things we did with her. It will be a good distraction and funneling of love. So know those are coming.

We will just be grieving too.
