I just dropped a bunch of new pieces on my website including two vintage brass mirrors I stripped, cleaned and refinished with French velvet, pressed flowers from my garden and realised butterfly wings. The ultimate in dressing table cottage core / dark academia vibes.

Aubry - 24ct gold, 43mm wingspan. Likes late night walks, beach combing and pancakes. Dislikes matcha lattes, the colour purple and snow.
Primrose - 23.5ct deep gold, 40mm wingspan. Likes classical music, rubber ducks and the smell of fresh rain. Dislikes spicy food, loud noises and feeling rushed.
Tigerlily - 23.5ct deep gold, 42mm wingspan. Likes crisp autumn mornings, sausage dogs and herbal tea. Dislikes rude people, bad coffee and surprises.
Lenore - 22ct rose gold, 37mm wingspan. Likes a good book, being cosy and travelling by rail. Dislikes camping, crowded spaces and white chocolate.
These are real, natural death bumblebees. I collect and preserve them, and gild their wings in layers of real gold leaf. Each one comes framed in a shadow box frame with deep off white mounts.

A cute little Print Club preview of July's edition. August is the gorgeous Red Admiral butterfly, and the painting is probably my favourite yet. I have another sitting planned tomorrow to work on it, and I'm hoping I'll get it finished. Keep an eye out for the progress video.

Behold, the Mystery Grub. My best guess is this is one of the M. torquata immaulicolis that somehow went into diapause as a larvae. It was in a large tub of substrate by itself, the only thing I remember having in there previously was three of the M. torquatas but they were all female.
The only other beetles I have had of this size are rhinos and goliaths, but neither of those have been breeding since 2024.
