Pamela's Passion for Pencils

I have taken quite a long break from YouTube and I have had many of you send me messages or ask why over the last year or so. Some of you may know my husband had Stage 4 Colon Cancer and was very ill for a long time. He was diagnosed in 2018, had surgery to remove a tumor, was said to be cancer free, then the cancer came back in 2020. That was around the same time I started my YouTube channel. At the time it helped keep my mind off things to keep me going everyday. He had cancer, but he was still mobile and working when he could at that point. As time went on, he struggled to do more and more on his own and spent a lot of time in bed. It got to the point where I decided my whole focus should be on family and my husband. I am so glad I made that choice a little over a year ago because I'm grateful for the time I had with him. My husband passed Saturday night at 10:50 p.m. He was only home from a 9 day hospital stay for 24 hours at his time of passing. He was here with us but had declined so quickly from the night we rushed him to the hospital and at that point couldn't even communicate with us any longer. He went through so much and was in so much pain all the time. He was so strong and such a fighter that he had made it through many lengthy hospital stays over the last year and a half. I guess I wasn't living in reality thinking he would come home from this hospital as he always had before. This one was different - his body was in sepsis shock and over a week, even through they cured the infection it was too late. He wasn't strong enough to keep going and his organs shut down. His liver was already failing and because of the shock, his kidneys started shutting down as well. I am so numb at this point, can't stop crying, and am trying to put together the pieces of how this happened so quickly. I've spent so much time caring for him that I don't even know what to do with myself. I feel like it's all a crazy nightmare, I'm going to wake up, and everything will be back to "normal". I want to thank all of you that have supported me for so long because it helped me so much to keep going with everything I was dealing with. My husband was the greatest man I've ever known, never knew a stranger, was kind to everyone that crossed his path, would give you the shirt off his back if it was the last thing he had, and never judged anyone ever. People like this are far and few between and he could never be replaced. I'm so torn inside because I feel like I could had done more to help him. Our whole family is going through so please keep us in your prayers.
