"Early 1933 (before March): After Hitler was appointed Chancellor on January 30, 1933, but before the Nazis fully consolidated power, there was a rapid erosion of civil liberties. Paramilitary groups like the SA began targeting Jews, political opponents, and others through street violence, boycotts, and intimidation.
Reichstag Fire (February 27, 1933): After the fire, the Reichstag Fire Decree suspended many constitutional protections, allowing for detention without trial. This was used to arrest communists, but also began to be applied more broadly.
March 1933 onward: The first concentration camps (like Dachau) were established primarily for political opponents but soon included Jews. These were run by the SS, often outside any legal framework—yet tolerated or actively supported by the state."
Hey you! I just wanted to pop in and say that you're appreciated and that you matter. I'm proud of your achievements, and you should be, too! Even if it's something as little as going outside and smelling the fresh air, or getting dressed and going to work. I'm aware most of my subscribers are Elliott Smith fans, and we're a special breed of unstable, so I'm just checking in on y'all 😅
My father would always say, "I'm proud of you, and love you very much," every night before bed, and some of you out there need to hear it too.
So, I'm super proud of you all, and I love you lots!
Apologies for the lack of Elliott Smith cleanups lately! My doctoral thesis is coming to a close, so things have been focused there recently.
My next planned video is still in its drafting stages, where I want to interview elliott smith friends and fans - a video for the elliott smith community BY the elliott smith community. If this is something that interests you, and you'd like to be involved, leave a comment below :)

Fascinating and unrelatable chain of events 🤔
