Meet the Trumps: Inside the Campaign that Changed America is now available to stream!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3oLFb...

When Donald Trump was inaugurated as the 47th president of the United States, an entire family came to power. For the Trump clan, the presidency is a family affair. His sons, daughters, son-in-laws, daughter-in-law, grandchildren: they were all roped into the patriarch’s successful campaign to re-enter the White House. Each one of them was rewarded for their efforts with a job, official or otherwise, in Trump’s second term.

For example, Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara, helped him raise campaign funds. The sprightly businesswoman, in her forties, is acting as an unofficial ambassador for her father-in-law (when she is not managing her sportswear brand). Business and politics go hand in hand within Team Trump.

The documentary also looks into Melania, who has emerged in this second term as a notable absentee. The First Lady warned that she would be settling in New York to look after her son, Barron. This came as a blow for Donald Trump, who had always relied on the First Lady to soften his image. Her photographer agreed to an exclusive tell-all about this discreet yet influential woman.

In the latter months of 2024, a rising star made a sensational entry into Team Trump. At 17 years old, the president’s granddaughter, Kai, played a pivotal role in encouraging the youth vote to opt for the Republican Party. Having displayed her political talents as part of the Trump dynasty, some commentators have already made predictions of a presidential future for her.

The arrival of Donald Trump to the Oval Office set in motion a palace coup within the United States. Since the inauguration, Washington is no longer the seat of power. The new White House can be found in Florida: Mar-a-Lago. Trump has transformed his private residence into a millionaire’s club. We paid a visit to get to know the corridors of a new, centralised power.

Toni Holt Kramer, one of President Trump’s most loyal supporters, welcomed our journalists into her gold and marble manor. Among her new neighbours are Bill White and his husband Bryan Eure. This wealthy couple raised colossal funds for the president’s campaign, subsequently making him an intimate part of the Trump family. For his services, Bill White was even named the ambassador to Belgium.

Among Mar-a-Lago’s almost permanent residents, there’s one who Donald Trump considers a “son”: entrepreneur Elon Musk. In a matter of months, he has become a devoted footsoldier of the President. The capricious multi-billionaire was subsequently rewarded a ministerial portfolio – a contested nomination, at least as much so as that of the new education minister, known primarily for having directed the world’s largest wrestling federation… or the post of Ambassador to France, which was given to Trump’s son-in-law’s father. We meet John Bolton, Trump’s former national security advisor, who denounces this as a form of nepotism. He is now one of Trump’s fiercest critics.

From bloodlines to conflicts of interests and ultra-bright smiles, this documentary pulls back the curtain on the Trump family, the gilded dynasty that is running America.

Costa Rica: The Dark Side of Spiritual Tourism has now just been released!

Now available: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMPOO...

With its majestic forests, breathtaking natural waterfalls and unspoiled nature, Costa Rica has become a mecca for environmental tourism. Home to 7% of the world’s biodiversity and designated a “Champion of the Earth” by the UN in 2019, it has achieved the feat of doubling its forest area in just 30 years. But not everything is this tropical paradise is green.

It’s the opposite of mass tourism. A quarter of the country has been designated a national park and only 1% of those are open to visitors. Those that are can only be accessed for a few hours a day. ‘Nature is is our green gold’, explains tour guide Sonore Willis. ‘We have to conserve and protect it’. Costa Rica was one of the first countries to understand that ecology can pay off big. As well as reforestation, it has invested heavily in the development of renewable energies. The country produces all of its electricity from wind or solar power.

But the country’s economy is also dependent on intensive agriculture and it uses a record rate of pesticides per cultivated hectare. This has serious health consequences for the workers who work there. Another problem is the poaching of baby turtles. A special police force has been created to fight this new form of crime.

The Arctic: Putin's Next Frontier

Now available: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FqSzD...

The territorial ambitions of Russian President Vladimir Putin seem to have no limits. Another of his main objectives appears to be the colonisation of the Arctic and the North Pole, a project that has been ongoing for more than twenty years.

This area, which remains virtually unexploited, is one of the last El Dorados on the planet. The subsoil is full of oil, gas, rare earths and precious minerals like gold, uranium, copper. With global warming and the melting of the ocean’s ice, these riches are now more accessible, fueling the greed of major Western powers.

But in this conquest of the Arctic, Russia already has a head start. For years, the country has been equipped with gigantic nuclear-powered icebreakers: a means of controlling navigation in the icy waters surrounding the North Pole. Vladimir Putin has invested in extraordinary industrial projects such as an enormous gas processing plant anchored in the permafrost, and the construction of an incredible floating nuclear power plant intended to supply energy to Pevek, a small isolated port north of the polar circle. These are but a few examples of the flagship projects commanded by Russia’s leader, in this new conquering of the Arctic.

For Moscow, this policy also involves a militarisation of the region. Fearful of these expansionist ambitions, NATO decided to react by sending a strong message to the Russian President. The Atlantic Alliance recently gathered of an army of 35,000 men in Norway to show that it could repel a possible Russian invasion at any given time.
