• sitcom fan first, human being second
• been editing since i was 12 and still learning🔥
• i am obviously not a professional editor
• my motto is “if it exists, there will be a frasier version of it”‼️
• i’m usually very busy so i won’t post videos often *BUT* i’ll still be active
• i mostly use videostar and a crappy iphone 8 for my videos
• this is one of those channels that does not need to exist but it does anyway because i have nothing else to do
• it’s also fun to imagine what it would be like if frasier had a different intro so that’s another reason why it exists
• obviously not here to make money
• almost all non-frasier stuff is on my other channel

ok this is based on my skills and experience
editing on after effects is no different than editing on videostar
only main differences are the devices and the fact that AE is more advanced
i remember first trying AE years ago and i hated it but i was able to teach myself and get the hang of it

i will NEVER shut up about this because it REALLY needs to be said
everybody loves raymond might just be one of the most misunderstood shows ever
even when it was being ripped off left to right (king of queens and yes dear and still standing and all of the other hellspawn babies that it unintentionally created) all of the raymond knockoffs MISSED the point of the show and what made it GOOD
the barones were deliberately written to be terrible and dysfunctional
the show brings this up a few times
it’s also not afraid to give them all depth and dig a little deeper into *why* the barones are the way they are
you KNOW they’re bad people
but you could actually BELIEVE that they love each other deep down
it doesn’t feel forced
it’s authentic and some of the stories actually felt RELATABLE
because the writers knew what they were writing and they wanted the characters to be three-dimensional
and it’s not just ray and debra (another thing that the raymond dupes missed)
the ENTIRE family is given focus and the show can easily take something minor like robert’s chin quirk and make a whole ass episode analyzing it
meanwhile we have bullshit like according to jim which is like if you ask grandma to buy everybody loves raymond on DVD for you but she accidentally buys the knockoff version instead
they WANT you to believe that jim is like the perfect quintessential husband
but jim is the poor man’s ray barone…. without what made ray work as a character
ray was FLAWED
a peter pan syndrome character who is NOT meant to be a role model in any sort of capacity
the ELR writers weren’t like “heheheheheh debra SUCKS raymond is the super cool mary sue HERO” and the name of the show gives a false idea that it is *exactly like that* (so yaaaaa i see why romano hated the title) but i see it as some form of irony (since a majority of episodes have them dogging on ray B for the bullshit that he pulls)
but this is what all of the raymond dupes felt like
“heheheheheh the wife is EVIL and the husband is a COOL EPIC GUY”
they failed to realize why ray barone actually worked as a character and ended up making a much more shallow “i’ve only seen one episode” version
and i’m not even gonna talk about the fact that raymond gets an overwhelming amount of hate even though it is clearly a different show from the stuff that came after it
i’ve said this so many times but i’ll say it again…. raymond was a show that many tried to imitate but none could replicate…. but why blame the originator when the imitators have done worse?
SO MANY PEOPLE miss the point of everybody loves raymond and it bugs me
it’s like american psycho or fight club in a way (someone on discord said something like this)
like people are either watching it blindfolded or on mute…. or just not watching it at all
they don’t realize how different raymond was from other family sitcoms at the time
this wasn’t home improvement or full house
they wanted to get REAL
and i think it deserves a lot more respect

this is my first time making an intro in after effects in 2 years and it’s actually going very well so let’s cross our fingers maybe this’ll give us hope for any future intros🤞(and i’m making this completely from SCRATCH🤑)
