Hey, I'm Zach! šš
I am a game developer and mentor, and try to use video games to benefit the lives of others. With my UI Spy series, I analyze the User Interface (UI) Design of video games. Not interested in UI? Don't worry, I've got you covered! I also post Retrospectives, Game Development Projects, and Commentary Videos discussing latest news topics which interest me. I am also an advocate for proper preservation of video games and their history. š
My Favorite Video Game Series are Mario, Persona, and Super Smash Bros! š

Hey everyone, Iāve started working on the Metroid Ravenous UI Spy video! Unfortunately, it wonāt be out until early October, as Iām out of state for the weekend and I got a cold again. š¤§
In the mean time, Iām replaying Zero Mission 100% to prepare, and I gotta say, itās held up really well! If you havenāt played a Metroid game before, THIS and Prime Remastered are the PERFECT starting points.

Iāve noticed a shift with DOZENS of upcoming games showcasing WAY more about them than we would normally see even 5-10 years ago. Not like Ocarina of Time Remake where we just get a major showcase close to launch. Think Final Fantasy VII Revelation, Persona 4 Revival, Wolverine, and GTA VI. What do you think about this?

Final Fantasy VII Revelation will be (unsurprisingly) a Key-Card on the Switch 2, for $70. However, itās only 130 GB! I expected this to be 150-200 GB, so this is a surprise! The Deluxe and Collectorās Editions are also coming to the console thankfully ($100 and $350 respectively).
It will launch April 8, 2027.
