The customer already paid a builder to install this...and now they're paying ME to fix it!π· π οΈ
Itβs the same old story where corners were cut, pipework was bodged, and the system never stood a chance of working properly.
I couldn't rip out the whole house, so I had to use a bit of 'electrical magic' with a contactor relay and smart TRVs to outsmart the bad plumbing.
The full 'rescue mission' drops TONIGHT at 6 PM!
POLL: Whatβs the worst thing youβve seen a builder do to a heating system? π Teed off a radiator for UFH (Like this one!) π Buried unprotected pipework in screed π No bypass or zone valves π Wiring that looks like a bird's nest π Comment your own below! π
I think this boiler was trying to make me look like a liar! π€₯π§
I just finished a diagnostic, told the customer the gas valve was dead, and walked out to the van. When I came back 5 minutes later... the boiler was firing up perfectly.
How does a boiler 'fix itself' the second you turn your back?!
I had to dig deep to find out what was actually going on, and the real culprit was something I didn't even hear during the first test.
Plus, I'm heading back to the 'Guilt Trip' house to see if my PCB diagnosis was right. π¬
Full video drops tonight at 5.30! Whoβs ready for the reveal? π
My second video of 2026 drops tonight, and itβs a deeply personal one. Iβm talking about the side of the trade people donβt often see. The mental pressure of emergency calls, the 'vulnerable person' guilt trips, and the reality of being a one-man band during the winter rush.
Itβs time we talk about boundaries and mutual respect on the job. See you at 5.30pm! π οΈ
Delaying this one till tomorrow evening at 6pm as I'm sure most of you will have better things to do on NYE π Happy New Year in advance from me, Uncle & the rest of us at the Panchal household ππ₯³ππΎ #newyears#NYE#HappyNewYear

Itβs the call every engineer dreads: 'You serviced this in the summer, now it's broken!' π
Iβm curious to hear from you lot. When this happens, is it usually:
1οΈβ£ Just bad timing/coincidence?
2οΈβ£ A part that was on its way out anyway?
3οΈβ£ Something the engineer actually missed?
Drop a 1, 2, or 3 in the comments! π Full video tonight at 6pm!
